Hard to say that we didn't see warning signs.

Or that I'm totally shocked.

That does not lessen the disappointment however.

Thanks for helping us get through some dark days Anquan. Good luck on your next team.

yup

hope he shows up in the super bowl...and then he will go to hawaii...and then he will probably search for a new home.

Wow. Q. You are getting some bad advice.

Seem a little coincidental to anyone else that Rosenhaus OTHER big time client pulled the same crap with the same coach? And I bet T.O. came up with all those song and dances in SF and PHilly too.

Seems liks Rosenhaus is a means to an end guy. In other words do what you got to do to get that new deal and get PAID. What an insidious demon this guy is. He's gotten to one of the best.

ANyone who doesn't think this wasn't calcluated is kidding themselves. And with Larry's emergence it was just the fuel Rosenhaus needed to stir the kettle.

Have a big game in Bowl Q and do us one last favor and get your value up for a big trade.

And then don't let the door hit you where the good lord split you.

Now the onus is on the front office to make the RIGHT trade and get the RIGHT players.

Sad really. This is the one guy who should have been the first one in the ring of honor of the new Cardinals. Now he will be a sad footnote and maybe - just maybe - the reasoning and bounty need to build a sustained winner.

I would laugh my ass off if Whis and Haley started Breaston in the Super Bowl.

The look on Campbell and Hightower's faces during Q's tantrum on the sideline reminded me of the looks on kids' faces when their parents are arrested on Cops...just utter amazement, disbelief, and embarassment.

Starting Breaston is waranted. The team wins without Q. Watch Fitzgerald's reaction to the Hightower TD and the majority of the team's response for that matter. Look at Matt Leinart during the last drive and after the game. It takes a special kind of moron to pull what Q pulled. Any other level and his ass would be left off the plane for Tampa.

this is the single best post on the subject and sums up my thoughts exactly. No matter what Q did, it doesn't take away from the ridiculous elation I had yesterday and am still having today, nor does it take away from my appreciation for what he did during the dark days.

Can't wait to see what he's got in store for the Pittsburg LBers in his last game as a Cardinal! Dude's gonna be blowing people up trying to get that title.

Agreed.

Just sucks that he wasn't the poster boy and "face" of this epic run.

Would have made it that much more sweeter as Q's pain this last 7 years has been OUR pain.

Media week is going to be a three-ring circus.

Anquan will just repeat the whole "I give it my all on gameday, 110% always have, always will. The contract is a non-issue at this point." But he should add, "unless it is a championship drive and I am not getting the ball, then I will threaten to punch the OC and bail the stadium with my agent."

If Q was a real man... If he was half the man he has apparently pretended to be during his time here, he could easily prevent that circus by coming out right now, and putting this thing to rest. He can say that in the end, Haley was right and he was wrong. That we won the game which is all that matters.
He could say that he didn't immediately run off the field (though, I have to admit that I saw his family on the field, apparently "searching" for Q while everyone else was celebrating....
If Q had any self-respect and dignity, he would do this... NOW! Or, enjoy the friggin circus you and your cornholio of an agent have just created Q...

We need to put this off for just 2 more weeks. The new season will start soon enough. I have no doubt Q will give every ounce of effort in his body for this team. It's the Super bowl for Pete sakes.
Nothing is going to change over the next 2 weeks. Any conjecture at this point of what it means , what it meant or what it might mean is just that, conjecture.
This can only take away from a beautiful story. Let it go.

Q will go out and play hard like he always does. I'm sure the cards can get some trade value for him after the season is done. I think everyone needs to focus on the cards getting prepared to win the SB and quit making Q the big issue for the next couple of weeks.

Disagree Cardinals 16 backwards. This is a topic. This will continue to be a topic. When one of your players isn't on board it is an issue, especially going into a Super Bowl. The reason something like this hasn't been discussed in years past is because quite frankly Q is breaking new ground with this ****.

Seriously, he's beyond scum.

Rosenscum: The little black cloud that has hung over the Cardinals all season. I hope that he never gets his claws into any of our players again. I hope he stubs his toe on one of his expensive chairs he's bought with his clients money by teaching them to be greedy a-holes.

nothing could make any of this any sweeter than it already is Finest... at least not to me. I mean, the Cardinals are in the Super Bowl... no matter how it happened or who led the way... it just simply doesn't get ANY sweeter than that.

I mean, has it really even hit you yet? I'm still giggling like it's some kind of ridiculous joke that no one's in on but me. I just went to Yahoo and I saw a Cardinals article and I was like, oh, nice, I'm gonna read that! Then I scrolled down and saw another column on them... and another on them... and another on them... and then it dawned on me... oh yeah, in football... there's NOTHING TO TALK ABOUT EXCEPT FOR THE FREAKING CARDINALS!!!!!

This is ridiculous. I haven't watched Sportscenter probably in ten years. Now, I can't wait to watch it every night... sometimes, twice or three times (mostly because I can't sleep because of pain, but still! this makes the pain that much easier to swallow).

it probably doesn't help that everyone is talking about how great Fitz is and Boldin has become pretty much an afterthought in the media's eyes. Fitz has taken his game to a whole new stratosphere and has done it without Boldin on the field. That speaks volumes. I've said all along that i'd trade Boldin after this year. His value will never be higher, the offense doesn't miss a beat when he's out, and now he's not being supposed leader he's supposedly been in the past. There will be a great demand for him. Look at all the teams needing a #1 guy Philly,Jax, Miami, Buffalo, Washington, Chicago, Minnesota,Tennessee,Oakland, San Diego, NY Jets, and Tampa Bay. That could be one helluva bidding war on what would be the #1 WR that is available.

What pisses me off the most is this IS THE story line for the remainder of the time leading up to the Superbowl, for we all know the media cant stand running positive stories on this team.

Also, Did Q threaten to kick Haley's ass, for I read Haley's lips as, "Do it then, do it then..."

The look on Hightower's face says it all... he seems like he can't believe what Q is saying to Haley

Q is a big reason why the Cards made the Super Bowl. Is this disappointing? Sure. Does this mean Q won't play his heart out in the Super Bowl? Not at all. Q will prepare hard and play hard. He should be careful what he wishes for though because let's be honest and I love the guy he is probably gone after this season, but how happy will he be when he is getting paid his $$$$ with the Lions or Bengals and he sees the Cards go to the playoffs year after year? If he stays or goes I will always be grateful for what he has done for this organization despite this falling out this past year.
