Drew was waiting for Q as they walked out the building. The fight with Haley was not premeditated. The fight with haley would have been a non-story if Q wouldn't have bolted out the back door. But the fact that Drew.....not Anquan's family or anyone else, but Drew Rosenhaus was waiting embrace Q and walk out the back door in front of media, shows me that it was a premeditated move. If it wasn't, why wasn't Drew on the field celebrating with Edge, Dockett, and his other clients? He knew where to be and when to be there. The fight on the sideline gets too much publicity in this situation. If Q had 300 yards receiving he still would have left. It was the fact he turned his back on his teammates and organization, a planned move to basically tell the Cards to stick it, that should be the focus, not the arguement. He wanted to make a point and he was successful. He will get his wish to leave AZ. Unfortunately he severely damaged his reputation in the process and no on-filed actions will change that because he showed the world that winning means a lot less than his contract or status.

The fact that that Rosenhaus was leaving the building w/ Boldin & not celebrating w/ his other clients is conspicuous at best. If I'm Dockett et al, I'm a little miffed. First, because Rosenhaus was part of the drama that will take away a little of what they've accomplished in the media, but also because he was w/ Boldin & not w/ his other clients during one of the most important & momentous events in their careers to date.

Nice priorities Rosenhaus!

Pretty apparent the fight was due to Q being pulled, not some pre-calculated tactic. I love the fact the guy wants to be on the field, did he handle it properly? Absolutely not.

What else is clear is Q wants to be THE MAN and Larry has obviously eliminated that from happening. That's Q's fault though, Larry has went out of his way to spend time with his quarterback OFF the field. Q, he's his own man and guess what it's coming back to bite him in the butt.

Finally, leaving early was without a doubt the most selfish act I've seen out of Q so far and completely disappointing. If you don't think Rosenhaus didn't suggest this approach you're naive, how else would the DR know to be at the locker room ready to leave (when he has 5 + other clients ON the field)? Blame Q and the devil himself, DR.

As Rugy said, Buzzkill. Understatement of the week.

So, did the Cardinals actually lie to him or not? I know he's pissed because he thought he was going to get a new contract but was there a specific timetable to when that was going to happen?

I think this is highly unlikely, could Old Bill have done that .. maybe but he isn't involved anymore. Could M Bidwill, I guess yes or at least he could have said something that could have been misinterpreted by DR/Q.

However I would have thought that the negotiations were with Rod Graves and I flat out refuse to believe Rod Graves would lie to Q. He just doesn't seem to be that kind of guy.

On the other side we have the agent from Dark lagoon Drew, do yah think he might be lying, eagaerrating ?

I know which I tend towards

IMHO, this is a buzz that can't be killed.

At least not by the posturing of some agent who isn't worth a bucket of warm spit and the immature actions of his short-sighted client.

But hey, that's just me. :)

COMPLETELY AGREE!

Oh, boo hoo. Q acted like a baby (again)... who freaking cares... Warner thanked Jesus (something that usually annoys me) and as a Jew I turned to the Heavens and thanked him as well!

The Arizona Cardinals are going to the Super Bowl. Only a death in the family could be a buzzkill at this point... and even then, it would depend on the family member! :)

come on guys - SUPER BOWL!

I''m not here to make a case for Q's behaviour, but the thought that he was looking for an opportunity for a blowup in this game (because premeditation means that this was planned) strikes me a patently rediculous.

Drew Rosenhaus meeeting him at the door is evidence of precisely nothing.

Crazy, the evidence is that he made a non event, as they say, into an event by not staying and enjoying celebrating something that he and his teammates accomplished together. A trip to the Superbowl. His agent rather than celebrate with other clients on the field and congradulating them skulked in the shadows waiting for Q so they could hurridly leave. Circumstancial yes but there is evidence that a message was being sent to the Cards brass. Now I do not believe the Haley confrontation was premeditated and in and of itself would not have caused this kind of reaction but to leave after and not celebrate with his team and the FANS.....I say that is low and shows he wants to be a distraction and has become one.

do you have it DVR'd? go back and watch it, clearly hightower and quite frankly anyone within 10 feet are like wtf is going on with this clown....in my own words of course.

agreed, rewatch it shane. it's really galling. i mean, i wear a Q jersey to every game, and you look at the players around that incident and they're incredulous at Q's statement.

then read haley's lips. clearly saying, "don't call me that, don't call me that . . . then do it, then do it." what the hell could Q have been saying.

so disappointing. so incredibly disappointing. from the preseason to this just seems like Q is finally becoming TO/Moss/prima donna ridiculous wr crybaby me me me. i'm shocked and sad.

no matter what happens, if you're a team man like quan has said for so many years, including this year, and didn't want to let his team down, you celebrate with them. you don't let a tiff between you and ONE coach come between celebrating with ALL your teammates. the fact that his family wandered around while he jetted with his agent and hasn't come out and owned up to his actions speaks volumes to me. and i'm one of those that would rather give him the benefit of the doubt.

Couldn't have said that better myself. Calling Tod something so bad that Tod responds "Don't call me that" (several times) is telling enough. The fact it occured during crucial point is pure selfishness. Then his exit out of anger??

I don't believe for one second that Q was a premeditated Jack Ass. However, it doesn't change the fact that Q was a Jack Ass. I swear Drew has his hand up Boldin's backside like a ventriloquist with this spin BS.

"Though it wasn’t wise for Boldin to [not] celebrate the win with his teammates, it would have been worse for Boldin to stick around and put his foot in his mouth.

The guy isn’t T.O., yet. Boldin has made it known that he wants out of Arizona, due to the huge gap in pay between himself and teammate Larry Fitzgerald and the team’s refusal to close it sufficiently. But Boldin set all that aside and busted his butt for the entire season.

That said, he surely realizes that putting up big numbers during high-profile games would prompt potential suitors to flood the Cardinals with offseason trade offers, and maybe Boldin wonders whether there’s an agenda to win while keeping his numbers down, in the hopes of keeping him around for the final two years of his current deal.
But maybe Boldin should look at it another way. Maybe the Cardinals are trying to determine whether they can play successfully without Boldin before trading him.

this is from Profootball talk, and we all know to take this for what its worth. I post if for the following reason: Rosenhaus advertises his book on Florio's website. In the past, Florio has been a Rosenhaus apologist.

I think the bold is what Rosenhaus has been whispering in Q's ear.

I just want Boldin to bring it during the Super Bowl, he can take advantage of the Steelers DBs...another 2 weeks has to help his hamstring too. He obviously wasn't 100% this weekend and was probably furstrated.

I'm willing to bet as he thinks about things he is probably really regretting not taking part in the celebration and knows that it doesn't reflect well on him with alot of fans, coaches, players and the media.

Yeah I buy it. Dont agree with it but I buy it. We all make poor judgement at times and realize we made the wrong one later.

but we have yet to hear that Q admits he made a mistake by walking out early. he's still standing behind the "i didn't want to make a scene" bs.

shane, buddy, take the blinders off, please.

There are a lot of people in jail or fired or whatever for making the wrong judgement.

I am pretty sure however that only a select handfull have failed to celebrate a once in a lifetime achievement with their teamates over a hissy fit during a contract dispute season.

I'm as ok with it as the organization is let's put it that way, cause I have zero control over what they do about it or should do about it and for me again, I'm good with whatever they feel should be done, all the way from diddly poo to trading him.

i don't think he was looking for a reason for a blow up, but rather, that it was premeditated that he would leave prior to the ceremony and celebration. the blow up just gave him a convenient excuse. i truly believe he meant to take off early all along, otherwise rosenhaus would have been on the field with all his clients.

Mike Sando has again distinguished himself --

apparently the footage shown on TV wasnt live -- it was at the 9:44 mark of the game. Just prior, there was a running play where Boldin jogged off the line -- next play, in goes Early Doucet. Exchange between Haley and Q ensues.

for me the ESPN site is running really slow today -- but here is the link

if that's not the most absolutely ludicrous bunch of crappola, i don't know what is. yeah, let's examine this:

the cardinals . . . craving legitimacy for decades, on the verge of moving on to the superbowl, and playing subterfuge? they're making moves that could NEGATE EVERYTHING THEY ARE STRIVING FOR JUST TO STICK IT TO QUAN?!? holy crap that's just flat out stupid. for any publication or even internet website to type something like that is just mindblowing. those have to be the dumbest people on the face of the planet.

i'm sorry, i can't let this one go. was warner in on it too? that pass to a wide open Q that was overthrown in the third quarter where the cardinals could have slammed the door shut on the eagles . . . was that intentional to keep Q's value down? so stupid. so stupid. Profootballtalk - you are the dumbest football-related anything anywhere ever.
