"Antrel Rolle is listed at cornerback, but he's somehow turned the position into cornerback-linebacker-strong safety-hell raiser. If you're an offensive coordinator you scheme away from Rolle. Far, far away."

Gene Wojciechowski, ESPN

Or (longshot Cards pick) is an OT like Eric Winston more to Green's liking? Personally I hope not.

Antrel Rolle in round one.
Darren Sproles in round two.

Is he related to Samari? Wasn't he really good? Whatever happened to him?

I would like to see these two come to us with #1 and #2. It will mean that we have to address O-Line (RT) and D-Line (DT) thru FA.

Watched him vs Fla State

Very impressive. Clearly the best athlete on the field.

He's third in the nation in yards. He put up 41 and 38 carries in two games and got over 200 yards in each.
What are you basing that comment on? Fresno State?

Without Roberson and with a shuffled line he's not going to have last year's numbers, but to say he's been bad this year is WAY off.

The talent level in RBs from rd 1 to rd 2 doesn't usually change as dramatically as it does for CBs.

Rolle rd 1
Sproles rd 2.

I am firmly behind Rolle as our top pick.

If Boldin is out, we should be in the top 4 of the draft.

Rolle Rnd 1
MBIII or Frank Gore Rnd 3

Grab a high value guy in Round 2 since RB's have a penchant to fall...

Chris,

Rolle is not worth a top 4 pick.......he falls into the 8-10 range.........and let me ask this.......if Boldin were playing, where do you think we would be picking?

Cuz in my mind, Boldin alone, would not make the difference in winning 4 versus 8 games!

Why would Green pick a CB so high when he had no interest in drafting one last year?

Darnell Bing and Jamaal Brimmer are possibilities.

Since this has morphed into a draft thread....

once again, this team cant run, cant stop the run. Same old story for like the umpteenth year in a row.

hopefully the best player available in an interior defensive lineman

I said we would win 6 games with Boldin, 4 without.

So far, I am looking dead on. I disagree about Rolle. Shutdown corners always go high in the draft. Shut down corners who have size...well he reminds me of Chris McCallister a lot.

McAlister was drafted at #9 or #10. We had the 8th pick that year and took Boston and passed on him.
