I cant believe he hasnt signed with a team yet.

I truely believe he would be another perfect fit for this team. I know he would be over paid, and I know his numbers "look" like it was all about the contract year(who wouldnt care about that?).

His Min's did go up last year which is a big reason why his numbers were inflated. People talk about him as a "bad" locker room guy. But If you wanna win you cant build a church boy team. Winning will solve problems(ask Kobe/Shaq or Dennis Rodman with the Bulls)

He is big he is mean, and he would be a big force inside for the Suns next to Amare & shawn.

I think Dampier could be swayed to come to Phx for alot of reasons.
1) No Shaq
2) No Shaq
2a) Low expectations from us. We would only need him on the defensive end rebounding & blocking shots. He could pretty much save his energy on the other end of the court.
3) Win/Win situation. Even if his stats were less than last year if he grabs 10 boards, and plugs the middle on D, he will be the best center we have had in ALONG time!
4) Chance to Contend. With the addition of Nash, the added experience to our young core, and adding a center like Dampier the Suns starting 5 IMO would be a top team in the west. Able to compete with any team in the NBA. We would still need help with Depth at the 4 but the rest of the team would be solid.

The only question is can we pulloff a sign & trade using our Draft pick & fillers as bait?

Lampe, Jacobsen, Vujanic, Eisley & the #1??? Maybe I am crazy, but I want Dampier pretty bad.

that would be a dream come true if it did happen... he seems like a nice guy on his website...kind of surprised that he is known as a bad locker room presence...

I'd rather give up Zarko than Casey or Lampe. I wouldn't be upset at all if we trade Zarko and Milos.

I think we need Zarko to back up Marion, otherwise our bench would be paper thin. I think it would be a big mistake to trade the O Zarks!
