Anyone else think Rohan Davey would look good in red?

Rohan Davey tore-up NFL Europe (Kurt Warner didn't have the statistical success in Europe that Davey has had.... neither did Jake Delhomme).

Davey's contract runs through 2005.

He's learned the trade (QB) under the best system and one of the best players in the league.

Has a CANNON for an arm.

Is not skitterish or anxious in the pocket.

If Green is not sold on McCown...
If Drew Brees is not available....
I'd take Davey (in a trade) over some inexperienced kid in the draft
NO DOUBT ABOUT IT

Umm this guy is terrible.....just look at what he did in the pre-season.

48% completion percentage......2tds and 3ints.....against NFL 2nd and 3rd stringers?

Rather Rohan Davey than the statue we have as 3rd string QB. I like Davey.

I agree. They tried to show case him in Europe and the preseason to try and trade him before the deadline. They tried their butts off to trade him but not a single team would bite. Why, because he was horrible in preseason. I even watched two of his games in preseason because I was thinking the same thing as the original post, but after watching him play I changed my mind.

Davey is a good QB, more mobil than some think. He came out of LSU, a great program, but his downfall is he has had no playing time in the NFL.

Rohan was one of the better QB's to come out of L.S.U. He's not too mobile but stands tall in the pocket...He's like 6'4 or so...Cannon for a arm and like mentioned earlier he's not skittish in the pocket at all....Yeh he had a bad preseason but i'd hate to base his career in the N.F.L. on a few preseason quarters....I'd love to see him in red. He tore it up down here with Josh Reed kinda scaring thinking of him with Fitz and Q

I like Rohan Davey...

I believe he was at the Senior Bowl when Mac was coaching it...I was there but can't remember. I really wanted us to draft him and I still think he can play.

That being said, I certainly wouldn't go into next season with him as the answer but definitely a #2 guy with a shot at #1.

Weren't we 4-0 in the pre-season last year? That was a pretty good indicator of how "good" we were (or how "bad" opposing defenses were). And the TD-to-INT thing is all relative to your key contributors, situations, and opposition. There used to be a QB in Arizona who had a horrible TD-to-INT ratio and is now among the leaders in the AFC. And it wasn't because he was an inexperienced rookie those last couple of years he was here.

His completion percentage in a high completion percentage offense was dreadful. No two ways about it.....he sucks. Terrible.
