I don't buy others speaking for him and saying they don't think this game has any added meaning. Of course it does.

I LOVED Boldin when he played for us. He played his heart out. But he is no longer a Cardinal and I am done with him. In contrast, I love Aeneas Williams and I cheered loudly for him and his new team when he and the Rams went to the Super Bowl.

I am pretty sure returning to Arizona DOES matters to him. Hell, I feel like I got snubbed and not paid enough from my former employer and, I have to admit, that it gives me a bit of satisfaction when they hear about my new accomplishments. I'm human. So is Boldin.

I still think this is all very hilarious since less than a year ago he claimed Raven for Life.

You can't cheer for players who crap on your organization after they leave, no matter what they did for you while they were there.

I'll be in attendance on Sunday and I will boo him every time he touches the ball. And, if that makes me a hater, then so be it.

Boldin is lucky the Cards went on to win the game. Can you imagine what would have happened to his rep and ability to play on any team if his temper tantrum interferred enough with Haley that it cost the Cards a delay of game, wrong play call, game-winning drive, etc?


I thought he left the field out of shame. At least I hope he did. Wonder what the conversation was in the locker room after the players went in? That kind of selfish behavior at the exact wrong moment overrides a whole lot of trust in a fellow teammate.


No doubt Boldin is a great player. Not so much when rating his team concept.

Obviously Boldin's tantrum didn't bother the team very much because the next season they were 10-6, the most wins ever in Arizona, Q had over 1000 yards receiving and the Cards advanced to the 2nd round of the playoffs.

I think Boldin was the last of the contentious contract negotiations. It may be just me but I think that Michael Bidwill and Steve Keim have realized that unhappy players = 5-11 and that sort of thing won't happen anymore with the Cardinals.

A key ingredient in the recipe to actually change the culture instead of just talking about it. Dansby returning and playing at a superstar level may be the prime example of this.

I never had the emotional connection to Q that many here had or still have. He was a great player when he was in AZ, but his attitude was always suspect, particularly with regards to his contract situations. IMO, he acted childish.

If this poster is indeed his doing, I hope he gets crushed a couple of times.

Boldin is my all time favorite Cardinal. I wish there was a way we could bring him back, but I just don't see it happening. He is a tremendous football player, and the team lost a lot of leadership when he left. Like it or not, the boys thought highly of him, they looked up to him, and they continue to do so now. Is it possible we are all just a bunch of dumb arm chair QB fans who like to think we know about how it is under helmet on Sundays, but we really don't know ****????

His number should be in the ring one day, but I doubt this happens too… That said, I hope we beat the **** out of the niners and him Sunday.

Don't wish him any team success being on the Niners but he is a super human being that was probably more humble and nice to AZ fans than any player in AZ history. Always took the time with each and every one regardless of how hot sweaty and tired he was up in Flag. Truly right up there with Warner and Plummer in that regard. Always accommodating and a real pleasure with the kiddos. A man who truly gives back to the community and is out there doing real charity work!

So what if the guy doesn't fit into the perfect little box of the way you think every single player should act every single moment of their lives?

Why choose to neglect the myriad of great things Boldin did in a Cardinal uniform and instead focus on the one or two things you perceive as negative? Especially if a large part of your reasoning is "well that almost could have possibly perhaps led to something really bad even though it didn't..."

Let it go. Boldin is one of the best two or three players the AZ Cardinals have ever had. All he did was give every ounce of himself every time he stepped out on to the football field, but sadly it seems like so many are upset simply because he didn't want to cuddle afterwards.

Im with Big D and I stated how I can.

I look at it differently. Of course it was the wrong thing to do. But Q is a competitor who for 6 years at that point literally laid it all on the line for this franchise and he wanted and deserved to be on the field in those waning most important moments of the NFC championship game. He wasn't and he was pissed. I don't blame him. I agree with him and Not HAley that you don't bench that guy for anything in the last drive in that situation.

He went about it the wrong way at the end. But the same fire that made him do that is the same fire that he played with on the field and the same fire that everyone fell in love with. He let it out at the wrong time and vented in the wrong manner. But oh we'll its over. It happened. Move on. The guy is absolute class personified in so many other ways its not even funny. Will cheer for him personally but wish him no team success.

And yet the next year the guy goes out for this team busts his face up and is back playing less than a month later. He will always be one of my favorite Cardinals ever.

That's a little harsh for someone who expedited the change to a winning culture in AZ. Q labored on some bad teams here, but never accepted losing, and never got down on his team or the franchise. (until the end). He made a lot of plays for us. A lot, and, he earned every penny he made during his time with the Cardinals. For 98% of the time, he was a great soldier.

He did douche it up against PHI. He let his emotions get the best of him, and it changed his relationship with Cardinals fans forever. Because of guys like Simeon Rice, we have a low tolerance for players turning against the team. Q became a villain to me on that day. Part of the problem instead of part of the solution.

20/20 now shows us that apparently Q does not bear a lot of ill will towards our organization, or he if does, he's done a good job of hiding it. Athletes are mic'ed up pretty much 24/7 these days (when you consider social media), but we've hardly heard a whisper from Q about his time in AZ.

That day against the Eagles, in the Cardinal's moment of triumph, Q let his feelings about playing time and money get out of control, and that took something away from that victory and celebration. That's inexcusable.

But at least he didn't trash the organization after he left. He didn't call out his teammates or coaches, or even the Bidwills. He didn't immediately go to the Cowboys or Seahawks, or some other team which would have been more hurtful than the distant Baltimore Ravens. Boldin has at least avoided super-villain status.

It's irritating to see him niner uniform though. He's much more of a threat to reopen old wounds now that he's back West.

But Q is a little past his prime now. It's unlikely that he erupts for 12 catches for 220 yards and two TDs on Sunday. More likely is 3 catches for 50 yards. Might even take some punishment from our hard-hitting defense. If the best payday he could get at this point in his career was with SF, it's hard to fault him for turning it down.

Although Q's NFL story is not over, it appears that, in the end, history will not judge him too harshly. Not for one bad moment. He's a little too much of a mercenary for the average fan's taste, but overall, not too bad for a villain.

I always loved Q. The way he approached the game on the field I found to be rare... He gave, and still does, every ounce of his being when he stepped onto the field. And, he is a great human being off the field. You will never hear about Q in trouble in any sort of way off the field.
But in that area, he still falls behind Fitz and Warner in terms if their leadership and contributions to the team, it's fans and the Phoenix area community.
I think what Q did during the Eagle game was a horrendous case of misjudgment that most other players would never do. Certainly not players who were at Q's level....
And I think this poster is another case of extremely poor judgement. Even if he didn't make the poster himself , he should have taken it down out of respect to a team and a city that wildly supported him for most of his career...
I'm disappointed I guess is the best way to say. I don't hate the man as, I can never hate a guy who gives of himself on the field and off as does Q. But man, I'm deeply disappointed...
I hate the 9ers and virtually ALL of their players and coaches more than any other team. Q is a 9er and with this poster, seems to be relishing it... I hope beyond all hope that he comes out of this game healthy, but that he has ZERO catches and the Cards put an epic beat down on SF. I will be there and that's what I'll be cheering for!

There's something to be said for going to work with and for people you don't want to, getting your job done, and going home. So he didn't attend the celebration, does that make him selfish? Fitz says he's the one who got him interested in helping others in Africa and other places around the world--that doesn't sound selfish. He's also got a wife and 2 kids, maybe something in there would compete with such great moments in Arizona.

My only point is--it was a great moment for us. Not necessarily for him. Maybe it's not even in the top 10 great moments of his life. Was it a punk move? Absolutely. But I can't infer from that what type of character he has when contrasted with his play in other cities and the things he's done for people in need--not to mention getting Fitz involved. He also sacrificed his face and a few hammies for this team but all we focus on is a solitary walk he took to the locker room.

I was more talking about his football life. that's the topic at hand and that was the biggest moment of his football life EASILY up to that point in his career and to try and if it WASN'T then that only speaks volumes as to what kind of player he is. Seriously, if winning to go to the Super Bowl, especially after never winning anything for his entire NFL career, wasn't the biggest moment of his football life, then I don't know what can be.
