Are we running a different defense this year?

I just find it odd that #93 & #90 have almost been invisible this year. Is it a reflection of the play of OLB's Porter & Haggans? Something isn't right regardless of us having a bad DC. Teams are defininately doubling DD & CC or the scheme is differant. Whats the problem?

Robinson in the middle does not help.

How much time is Williams seeing? I am getting Direct TV today and NFL ticket is included in the package so now I will be able to see all of the remaining games.

Rewatched the game. Campbell was constantly doubled and even tripled at one point.

Getting nothing from Joey Porter and keeping Clark Haggans on the field on passing downs is the problem. The choice to let Cody Brown leave was a poor one, because there are no options out there to save these guys. If Schofield doesn't make an instant impact as a pass rusher when he comes back (and I think it's almost a certainty he joins the active roster mid-season), then the outside linebackers are going to have nothing left for the stretch run.

Dockett was collapsing the pocket yesterday.

Cambell has been invisible.

Saw Williams in on one series yesterday that I saw and he did really good. Nice tackle on a run as well.

Dockett was a beast yesterday, just always had a double team because the center can handle our NT. By the third Q Dockett had Gradkowskis cadence down and was flying off the line faster than anyone.

Why is it that Whiz can`t see that Williams and Branch offer more than Bryan Robinson at this point? Whats the deal here.......does Robinson fit in with the team better? great teammate?

I think Whiz values preparation very highly. Some of the other guys may have more physical talent, but if they're not doing the "little things" right they won't play.

:yeahthat:

Porter looks like a liability on rushing plays and hasn't made much of an impact on passing downs.

Williams is looking better each game. He had that great tackle where he seperated from the block and crushed the RB for no gain. Then he had a nice bull rush on the Center and put pressure on Gradkowski all while being held (of course it wasn't called).

Robinson always carries out his assignments and is in position. That holds alot of water around here. Forget the fact that he can't make a play.
