Wow. That sucks.

Like Angel, I can't separate my woman's feelings and Cardinals ones. (I once had a serious fight with a boyfriend since he couldn't understand why I wanted to spend a whole Sunday in the bar to watch football. Dude, it was opening day!!!)

If you're asking for what you should do about the game, I say talk to her and make sure she knows how important it is.

If you're asking about the relationship, I say she should already know the importance.

Good luck regardless, MD.

I didn't read much after your second paragraph, but I suddenly have a great idea for a business I could start with you....would you be willing to counsel American women for a small fee paid by their husbands? :D

Sure. :) Though I doubt they would take my advice since I am not married. (Some say that's because I am too smart to get married, lol.)

Did you try Midwest Airlines outta Milwaukee? Phoenix is a super-saver city with them. That is the only airline I took when I went to college there... they were significantly lower than all the other airlines for that specific flight.

Yes I did 32, that has been my go to for a long time when flying home, and have flown them several times. I have tried everything. there cheapest flight is $757. I did find a $575 out of madison, but I am hoping that today or tomorrow they will have one of those last minute cheap fares. I haven't ruled it out yet.

cardsfanmd, Take the trip! You will hold a grudge against her forever if you don't. Yeah, she'll be pissed, but it sounds as though it can't get much worse than it already is.

If the woman loves you she will be there when you get back, if not...

This comes from a guy whom has been married nearly 30 years, and yes to the same woman.

Save your money and go to the Cards vs. Giants game. Closer to you and less drama. Yeah, we will win this weekend. This weekend is a big deal, but it is only part of the story of this season.
You have too much confidence in the Vikings. Can't see them beating the Eagles.

I see the Cards traveling to Carolina.

Enough with the economy excuses. San Diego sold their game out with no problem and with a lot less notice and San Diego isn't exactly known as a hard core base of fans.

Add it to the list of 1001 excuses. Travel, Snow, Sleep, lacking Veterans, Economy. It goes on and on.

Cardinals have bar none the most forgiving fan base of any sports team in the history of the world.

So we'll see you at the half time meet since money isn't an issue for you? ...or a job?

Like it was said by someone else on another thread. Other teams have had no issues such as San Diego which is even a fairer weather fan base.

Much like Arizona cant travel yet other teams can and win it seems the economy either is hitting Arizona harder than everyone else (highly doubt it) or its just another excuse.

I prefer to watch football on TV. Always did. Attended a grand total of 2 cards games on the east coast. Had a chance at free tickets for turkey day and turned them down to watch the game with my family (and be humiliated by all the Eagles fans in my family).

I was banking on the cards winning so I could do the trash talking but the cards never let me down!

Thanks for your sacrifice. You know that Phoenix is a transplant fan base and that the Cards need you. If you aren't going to step up maybe you shouldn't bitch about others. Interesting that your posting becomes more active whenever things are going bad.

First, so things are going bad? hmmm according to you ever time you respond to me things are going great why the big turnaround? We have a playoff game tomorrow.

Second, why a aperson would fly 3000 miles to attend a game they prefer to watch on TV is kind of silly. If I was subject to a blackout I'd be there. Fortunately the blackout is local. So if I am a local fan and I like the cards I would go. If that doesnt make sense to you i cant give you a quick common sense lesson in just a few short minutes over a message board.

Hilarious that the people bitching the most aren't going to be here. Especially all the way from Bakersfield.

And yet you had a ticket to go to a game in your backyard and you didn't go. I don't respond to you because I think that everything is going great. I'm just a sucker for people who post like trolls.

Swd......pathetic excuse for not going to the game in your backyard. Your credibility is shot. You might want to dip out of this one.

Oh noooooo my credibility is shot. Hmm Been a cardinals fan longer than 95% of the people on the board. Probably spent more money on the cards than most. Oh noooo my poor credibility!!!

TV coverage of football is much better than the experience at the game. Why in the hell would I want less of an experience during game day?

2 Eagles game I went to sucked. Its cold, Eagles fans are maniacs.

HOWEVER, if at anytime I cant get the game at home (There is a reason I pay a ton for the ticket on DirectTV) then I rush out to a bar. If the game is nearby Id go because the bar scene is even worse than the stadium.

I did drive from PA to Green Bay to see us get crushed by the Pack but mainly did that to see the mecca of football stadiums. (Awesome trip highly recommend it)

Went to Washignton DC 2 years ago. Fantastic trip (Sarcasm) drove an hour in a bus that was overloaded with people took 3 hours to get back to my car in the bus.

Paid 300 bucks for tickets that were last row in a massive statdium. Saw some ants down on the field playing some kind of game.

If you like it then hey great for you. I wont begrudge what you enjoy. Its unbelievable that you think 'credibility' is tied to what you enjoy.

And it's pathetic that the same stadium that has sold out many times for regular season games can't sell out a playoff game. I guess Atlanta fans aren't making up the difference like most opposition's fans do.

But, I'll fork over $65 to whoever wants to get me to the game for that price.

I will be there but I understand some can't afford it. Also the Cards didn't do themselves any favors by finishing the season terribly losing 4 of the last 6 didn't do alot for some fans confidence. I can't blame them for not wanting to spend the money to possibly get there arses kicked like they have been lately! The Cards front office should be smart enough to buy whatever remaining tickets and make sure their team is seen on TV!
