I have one eyebrow raised - I think we are better than last year- and better coached and managed- but still don't know what the hell we got here in AZ? ? ?

Tomorrows home game will connect a couple more dots - See if Ellington has any lightning? funny how when you run more than pass - oline and pass game looks better-

Chargers Rivers looked more like a Cards QB in that game last night-

I was surprised to see this plastered all over the NFL network like it was huge news. What is any player or coach going to say BESIDES they think they can win?

I really don't think there's much comparison between the two. Ryan rode a lucky streak with 9-7 team with a great defense and no QB to a blowout loss in the AFC title game and then got blown out again in the AFC Title game the next year. that team was a house of cards.

Harbaugh's been uber successful every where he's gone, has actually WON an NFC Title and been to a Super Bowl...and apparently knows how to judge both defensive and offensive talent.

but the proof will be in the pudding.
Whiz was very successful also and look what happened. Harbuagh ahsn't had to deal with an under-achieving team yet and, when he does(and it wll happen at some point), his head may explode.

SF and Seattle will probably be very good this year but it seems everyone assumes Kaepernick and Wilson are the real deals. I'll wait and see on that one. They have a combined 1 decent year in the NFL while running a gimmicky offense. Let's see how they adjust when the defenses start shutting down the read-option. They may turn out fine but they also may be major flashes in the pan. Tebow even had some type of success in the read-option.

every successful head coach in the league was an assistant somewhere, at some time.

I seem to recall your boy Billicheat being run out of...Hmmm,...was it Cleveland?? for being terrible as a head coach.....

I guess they just gotta play on sunday and see what happens.

Really? I think you will find he was not so terrible in Cleveland. And the team he put together won the Super Bowl shortly after.

Should we really be happy our new head coach says we have a shot to win the division? How does he get hired if he says he thinks we can compete in a year or two? Come on guys.

Dude we get it you don't buy in. Go piss in someone else's Cheerios.

LOL...SF is already about to tune out the coach who took them from garbage to the NFC Title Game/Super Bowl in back to back years if he melts down one more time? That's laughable. All Harbaugh does is meltdown and apparently, his team loves it judging from the difference in their play with and without him.

I've been a Harbaugh zealot for years and I don't think the team will "tune him out" per se, although I agree with Cbus that he will burn guys out over time and we haven't seem it as he left SD state and Stanford around 4 years. But he is the best HC in football IMO.

What I do think is the Niners have been extremely Lucky with injuries the last 2 years and lost key members of their secondary already. I also don't think Kaep is as smart as Russ, rG3, and Luck.

One of the SEA or SF will not be as good as the hype. Unless you have Peyton or Brady there is no such thing as preseason SURE thing year after year. The NFL has proved this out time and time again. Can make a case for either but we will see who it ends up being.

But it's without question this is the most physical, toughest division in football.

Belichick last coached the Browns in 1995 (5-11 record). The Ravens had three more losing seasons under Marchibroda, then two under Billick, before winning the Super Bowl after the 2000 season.

Just keepin' it real!
