Good post. Tend to agree. He really instills confidence. I think he believes we have enough weapons even with all our losses. He may believe he can win with any players.

Reminds me of the old Bum Phillips quote about Don Shula:

BA's style is refreshing and so old school. When he clowned on Ginn even after the TD return, that really cracked me up.

It's a very different situation. Backup RB vs star LB.

I haven't liked Arians handling of the Abraham situation.

He knows the situation better then us, he is sure what happened to washington was just an accident ,he was trying to push off her ex while she was assaulting him.
An accident that could happen to each of us.
Should be better someone close their mouth if they dont know the facts.

yup... and he was found guilty, which is what makes it troublesome to me that Arians ducked the question saying it's a completely different set of circumstances.

hopefully, he just said that because of some legal battle to come to recoup $ and he can't say anything else, but I fear the talent of Washington may lead us to turn a blind eye to the black eye Washington gave the team and his girl.

Recap: Ashleigh Banfield came on at the top of the hour with a segment on domestic violence in the NFL. She led with the Cardinals and was talking about Arians and what he said yesterday. She was going to show a clip of Arians talking about..... something.... but someone couldn't push the right button and nothing came up. So she sort of winged it.

She then said that CNN had been repeatedly questioning Arians and the Cardinals on Rainey's hiring. She said they'd been asking all the tough questions about it. (Implying no one else was.) Then she pretty much declared that Rainey is gone because of all the pressure CNN brought to bear on Arians. Good trick considering CNN can't even dig up the correct logo for the Cardinals.

I think we went through this argument before, but for the sake of clarification, and why Arians may be saying it's a "totally different set of circumstances," I do believe that the scenario for D-Wash involved him pushing his girlfriend, and that leading to her falling and breaking her collarbone.

Dwyer very clearly broke her nose, then threatened to kill himself to keep it from getting out. Very different set of circumstances, assuming these scenarios are true.

According to Arians, Rainey was cut for football related reasons, not because of domestic violence.

This again kind of comes down to whether or not you believe there's varying degrees of domestic abuse. Some are in the "don't ever touch a woman" camp, some are in the "there's some degree of self-defense a man should exercise" camp.

I'm not trying to restart that argument, but that's what it appears to come down to.

The reason for all this is because of his age and experience. He has seen it all. He's one of the oldest HCs in the league....but luckily for the Cardinals, that's not a good thing.....that's a GREAT thing.

I can near guarantee this team would have folded with a younger rookie HC or 2nd year HC.

Arians is truly one coach who 'Walks the Walk'. He is not someone who tells you what to do, then does something else. He sets the example for how he is accountable to his franchise, its ownership, and his players, and his coaching assistants. He treats everyone like family, and expects to be treated likewise. He holds 'everyone' accountable, not allowing special standards for some 'elite' players etc. If you work to earn your pay for him, he will reciprocate by seeing that you get your day when it comes. That is part of how he makes 'Next Man Up' work.

Yep that's what is different. Dwyer is only charged at this point. Dwash should be gone but the time has to be right because of all the money involved
