Yeah I think it's clear Arizona is not going to voluntarily sit anybody like SC is doing with Melton. They're all in on we're playing everyone until the NCAA tells us we can't play them.

Assuming the Sexton suspension is the standard the NCAA is going with, the 2 kids who agreed to use the agent but didn't get any money, would get 1 game like Sexton did. Alkins presumably being the one who already got paid would have to sit more games but it would depend on how much he got, and it's not clear the NCAA knows that yet.

Speaking of Melton it appears possible he'll be cleared to play in the Oklahoma game tonight. It hasn't been decided yet but there's some innuendo that his attorney thinks he's about to be cleared. The FBI story said that their agent gave Dawkins an envelope with 5K in it before a meeting with Dawkins, Sood, and Melton family friend David Elliott. Then Dawkins gave the money to Elliott. The attorney found restaurant camera footage of the meeting at a hotel restaurant near LAX, it shows the FBI agent put the envelope on the table near Elliott, but he never grabbed it. At the end of the meeting, Dawkins the agent grabs the money and leaves. The FBI story insists Elliott got the money, so they presumably are saying Dawkins gave it to Elliott after the meeting, but it's inconsistent with what's in the story that Dawkins got the money before the meeting, and gave it to Elliott during the meeting. Elliott insists he got no money.

Melton appears likely to be cleared because the video appears to confirm what he's said all along, if anybody got money, he didn't know about it and had no involvement, he wasn't there, Elliott didn't take the money at the meeting, if he got it later there's no way to prove Melton knew. He's already sat 6 games which is likely close enough to the NCAA threshold for 5K that they might just reinstate him tonight.

After the Bahamas I thought SC would run away with the conference but now they're going the opposite direction and AZ has won 4 straight. ASU will be right there too.

That was Ayton's best performance so far.

Ayton was unreal last night. Farnham nailed it on that one play where the bama kid intentionally fouled him to prevent Ayton from rebounding over the top of him and dunking it in, what can you do against a guy that big and strong your best bet is to foul him.

Bama is very athletic but man for an NBA guy Avery Johnson's offense leaves lots to be desired, that kid Petty was jacking ridiculous shots. Seemed like an NBA coach would have gone even more to the matchups since it was obvious nobody could keep Sexton out of the lane.

Alkins looked rusty but you can see his passing is going to help

If there's a network worse than P12, it's CBSSN. I missed the game and there's no replay. Utter bullsh.t.

Yeah it's aweful. I used to be pissed about not having Pac12 network and then I watched it over at a friends house and I was like wooow. Talk about janky. I can see why DirectTV doesn't want to pay them.

However, it's a only minor inconvenience during football season,,, but with the Pac12 tournament coming up and both Arizona basketball teams being relevant,,, AND the Cardinals and Suns sucking, I wish I had it. lol

I'm a cord cutter, but I signed up for Sling TV, which has all P12 channels. I pay 30/mo which gets me the basic package, almost all sports channels they offer, and DVR. Plus, I can watch on my phone and tablet.

That's how I watch P12 now too since the house we're renting has Directv not Comcast.

I couldn't get the Arizona game last night either, don't get CBSNN and couldn't get it on reddit either, none of the links worked.

Archie Miller has now lost to Indiana St and Fort Wayne at home. Maybe he's in over his head.

Indiana wasn’t in great shape when he inherited the team. Give him 1-2 years/

Ayton is the best college player right now. I really hope he winds up as a Sun.

He gets nod over Bagley because Bagley can't got right (extremely left hand dominant). Bagley has the better motor, but neither is a defensive dynamo. Bamba is the next Mutombo. This will be a deep draft with good players, Trae Young will shoot up draft as he is clearly the best PG in the country (better passer than Sexton & ages above Duval in shooting). You have good bigs in Jackson (MSU), McCoy (UNLV), Carter (DUKE), atheletes in Bridges (MSU); Walker (MIA); Brown (MIA) & shooters in Allen (DUKE), Trent (DUKE), Diallo (KEN) & Trier (ARZ).

Good year for PHX to have 3 first round picks.

UA and ASU's path to the conference title just got easier with USC declaring Deanthony Melton ineligible. The interesting thing is this is NOT because of the FBI probe, apparently while investigating the allegations from the FBI probe, USC found something else with Melton and that's why they have declared him ineligible.

There's a guy who posts on Bruinzone regularly that posted a couple of months ago that he knew for a fact a family member of Meltons took money from an agent, he didn't think Melton knew about it but wasn't sure, and he was wondering when that was coming out so I'm assuming that's what this is about.

SC has so many injuries right now they're terrible but not getting Melton back effectively ends their chances at challenging for a conference title.

Was Melton that good to begin with?

I see that Thorton is missed some games but Metu and their Sr backcourt haven't missed any time. No excuse for them losing to Princeton at home. Maybe they bought into their own hype...

I love Melton he's one of those do everything kids, plays defense, rebounds, passes, not a great shooter but a good overall player and a glue guy.

FWIW the loss to Princeton was terrible but they were missing 4 players the whole game. Boatwright didn't play, Jonah Matthews didn't play, Thornton didn't play and Melton didn't play. During the game Rakocevic hurt his knee and sat, he did come back in but it's not clear how serious his knee is. So they were short 4.5 players in that game, still losing to a sub 500 team at home was bad.

I do think the only chance they had to resurrect their season and be a factor in the Pac 12, was getting Melton back, and it appears that's gone

The PAC-12 is a mess, again.

Going to be a fascinating offseason, I think both UCLA and USC may make coaching changes if this persists.
