we dont know anything about him,if he does some sort of rehabilitation,if he is on the right way to be back.
i think he will agree with a pay cut considering what he did.

If I understand the new domestic violence policy correctly, he will miss a minimum of eight games next year. A pay cut is a given. And, that is assuming he takes care of business with this drug suspension. Like you said, none of us know what he is doing to take care of that.

Leave it to Bickley to show his east coast bias with his backhanded compliments of the Cards:

"Rarely has a victory so special felt so undeserved.

The Cardinals beat the Eagles 24-20 on Sunday in the way a beaten prizefighter knocks out an opponent with a desperate haymaker in the final round. Whooping players ran off the field like thieves in the night, pumping their fists to the delirious crowd...

...They are doing the unexpected. They might even be undeserving. But in football, you are what your record indicates. And that makes these Cardinals what their head coach insists they are not:

Special"

Quit crying y'all. Who gives a bleep about ESPN.

Watching ESPN after the game and they spent a full 5 mins talking about the Cards and Jaworski fully dissecting the John Brown TD, saying "the Cardinals have an advanced passing game and Brice Arians knows what he's doing when he designs plays"...
That was actually pretty cool...

You point would've been better made if you had left out Bickley using the term "special" to describe the Cards.

Honestly, I felt like his description of the Cards in the first few sentences. Just elated we found a way to win that game. Giving up over 500 yards to an opponent is a hard way to win games.

His boxer analogy immediately made me think of Sugar Ray Leonard knocking out Hearns in the 14th round, behind on all the judges cards. That's thrilling stuff in my sporting world.

I honestly don't care what happens to D-Waste... I'm over him and if he never plays another snap for the Cards, I'm totally fine with it. The team has moved on and so have I...

Six games for the first offense. Could be four or less if the NFLPA can argue that the incident occurred before the new policy went into effect.

Last I heard, the team hasn't moved on yet; and that the door is open for a return barring a significant setback.

Judging from their record and the closeness of this team, I don't believe they are spending a second out of a day worrying about when D-Waste will be back... I expect that in the draft and FA next year, BASK will further address his position.

That would be intellectually dishonest of me...but it's my point about the backhandedness of his piece.

Possibly. But they truly had their hands tied to do anything this year because of the finances. We don't know if he's done or not with us, the Cards won't talk about it right now.

Seriously, who cares? D-Waste is dead to this team right now, as he should be. DD is with the team, on the sidelines away and at home... D-Waste? Who cares...

I said it before---the opportunity for someone like Minter to make Washington expendable was this season. It hasn't happened nor will it.

Bowles is using Deone Bucannon in Washington's ILB position in 5 or more DB packages because of Minter's limitations in the pass game; and in the draft, the team will be looking OLB and RB in the early rounds. The plan is to put Deone back at SS next season.

As for closeness, Washington still has friends on the team. Dockett and Palmer have both indicated that they'll welcome him back when he's ready and able to come back.

D-Wash will be reinstated into this league, eventually. Trust me, the worst thing this team can do is let a (hopefully) rehabilitated, matured D-Wash go to the open market. He'll last 15 minutes in free agency and provide a significant boost to that team's defense. Then what lesson was taught by releasing him?

Might as well have his redemption story happen in Arizona.

Jurecki has indicated on at least two occasions recently that the internal dialogue within the organization is that the door is still open for his return. The finance situation might end up helping D-Wash because it forces the team to wait a season and consider all risks prior to releasing him.

FWIW, Jurecki initially reported when the suspension was levied that the team wanted him gone.

It would be a very nice story if D-Waste was resurrected here in AZ. However, right now, I doubt very much he is occupying anyone's thoughts on this team... That's my point. There is no time to think about the guy. None. When and if he is ready to give the NFL yet another shot, he can be worthy of conversation... But now? Screw him...

Apparently (per urban twitter) ESPN just did their top 10 NFL plays of the week and John Brown's 75 yard game winning TD checked in at number.. number.. hang on, still waiting for it after the countdown finished.

it's seriously insane where this team is right now.

that said, there is a part of me that thinks we're a lot like the Chiefs last year. I think we're a playoff contender, but for me to really start thinking we can WIN the Super Bowl, I need to see us put together a couple full beat downs... of anyone.

BUT... 6-1 is 6 and FREAKING 1 and the NFC is weak. It's all up for grabs. Why not us?

Yeah I was initially thinking the same thing that the Cardinals run reminded me of the Chiefs run last year. However the the first half of the Chiefs schedule last year was ridiculously easy. Where as the Cardinals have had to play and beat a few playoff caliber teams already. So I don't think these two teams can really be compared.

Very happy!!!

I think we can all agree ...fans, coaches, players, and media, that we are NOT everything we can be at this point in time. BUT...clearly, this is a team that is coming together and will only continue to get better.

Long-term success (ie; a team that can win it all every year) comes with a lot of hard work, patience, and determination. There is NO doubt in my heart we will WIN a Lombardi...IF not this year then very soon.

My friends, what else can we ask for?

MARK IN SC :)

Guess who's going to be BASK-ing (again) this week? :D

Next week will tell us a lot if Romo is well and plays as Dallas is a very good team. We have won several games we could have easily lost. Only great catches and throws saved us so I still do not know if we are what our record says we are. I sure hope so. Plalmer is sort of like our other old pickup QB who turned into a star. Fitz still has it and we had some good draft picks. Palmer is one tough guy with a lot of NFL experience who can recognize defenses. Our head coach will do anything. Hard to out guess what he will do next.

Playoff Picture as of Today

This just down not look right. Sure, the AFC looks about like we've come to expect the last decade (Manning and Brady at the top). But the Cardinals and Lions as the top 2 NFC Seeds? Surreal.

Plus, no other NFCW teams in the mix.

NFL.com front page has grades for all the teams. We have a B. Smh.

http://www.nfl.com/

I think a B is fair. The offense was non-existent in the 2nd half outside those 2 big plays. The D game up way too many yards, but held strong in the redzone.

Penalties were awful.

It wasn't an A effort, which is scary, because if we ever see an A effort, this team won't be stoppable.
