Cardinals get:

• 2023 fourth round pick (No. 114)

Saints get:

• 2023 second round pick (No. 34)
• 2023 fourth round pick (No. 104)
• 2024 first round pick

It is steep, but quite honestly, we've watched Keim blow so many picks that I'd give up a second and a future first to get a real program builder.

I could live with this. Payton is a quality coach. Draft picks are all maybes.

They advocate for a Jerry Reese + Shane Steichen combo for the Cards. Although based on their write-up, Kafka sounds like the most appealing coach.

They make a good point about Payton leaving the Saints right when all the credit card bills from kicking the can down the road year after year came due.
