Better than nothing. But not the way to reach the playoffs.

Solo HR to CF by Avila. 4-2 D-backs going to the bottom of the 4th.

Corbin left the bases loaded in the 4th. But Arendado hit a solo HR in the 5th. 4-3 D-backs.

It is still a long way to go, but if it remains close, I feel a lot better with Ziegler and Yoshi as our closing choices over Archie and Boxberger.

DAGNABIT!!! The final D-backs 17 batters are retired. And Yoshi gives up the walk-off 2-run homer in the 9th, after Goldy couldn't handle a ground ball.

Now we don't have a single dependable closer. I can't blame this one on Torey, even though he took a chance by bringing in Archie in the 8th.

All hope is gone!

Turn out the lights... 4 games back in the loss column with 16 games left. It's OVA... Last 17 Dbacks batters set down in order... 4 hits the entire game, all perfectly laying the groundwork for our bullpen to cough it up one more time.

We have brought a knife to a gun-fight all season long. We've been outgunned all season. Time to turn the attention to 2019...

This bullpen has completely melted down the past few weeks. The starters are doing their jobs for the most part.

Another 12 strikeout series for the offense. 4 total hits in the whole game while the Rockies ended up with 13? I was surprised they actually had the lead. Glad I wasn't able to watch this game or I'd probably be fuming now. It was a fun and entertaining season.
