Is Walker supposed be a power hitter? I know he doesn't get alot of ABs, but he hasn't done anything with those few at bats yet..

Steve just mentioned that the Skipper commented about the need to get Walker more at-bats than just an occasional pinch-hit. I think that indicates how difficult it is. Some players have the knack. Most don't.

And, evidently, management is adamant that they are not going to play him in the outfield.

I guess Walker's power is not going to appear at the Major League level unless the D-Backs decide to not give Goldy a big contract or Walker gets traded. It is not easy or fair to spend the prime of your career being blocked at your position.
