Not sure how they overturn that based on the replays that were shown on TV

Ray was not too effective again in his second start. But, except for bases on balls, his stats look good and he's in line for his second win of the season.

Goldy not hitting nor our power hitting Catcher, we lost our #4 and #5 hitters, but we're setting the league on fire. Yup, because we're not depending on the home run.

If the other players step up, which they have, then they don't need to be the power hitters.

Consecutive wins against Kershaw, Wood, and Wainwright. Not bad.

Does anyone know why they have a Friday as an off day? Usually it’s Monday or Thurs. Does St Louis have something else major going on, or are other teams also taking Fri off?

I would assume there must be something going on because it makes no sense to have a game on Thursday and not one on Friday. With the chance of snow on Sunday, I would like to see them play today if possible.

It's pretty normal to have a day off after opening day.

It's done as a buffer to protect those with opening day tickets in stadiums without a roof.

That logic of “opening day buffer” makes sense- thank you. In all the years I’ve been a baseball/DBacks fan, I could not remember a time when they split the days like that, esp a Friday off after a Thursday game, and when days off are mostly Mon and Thurs. But I didn’t consider the opening day/open stadium issue before- I’m spoiled by Chase field I guess! Ha ha
