#Dbacks Jake Lamb says he will play 3B in extended spring game tomorrow.

With Pollock leading the D-backs in RBI's (Goldy is now two behind him), I don't think it would be a good idea to move him out of the heart of the order and back to #2, now that Marte has settled into the 2B position and is doing a good job of getting on base batting second.
Why not consider a batting order of Peralta-Marte-Pollock-Goldy-Lamb (followed by Souza when he returns), then Catcher and SS or vice versa.
That is a very solid 1-6, especially with half of our games being played with humidor baseballs which turn home runs into fly balls at Chase Field.
I've predicted that Peralta will be a strong candidate for a batting title in the leadoff spot. Marte remaining at #2 will give us a second leadoff hitter as well as clutch hitter.
Then Pollock-Goldy-Lamb-Souza. Then our weak hitting Catchers, one of whom was supposed to be a power hitter. Then Ahmed, who has been hitting with more skill than we've seen (and is effective against lefties), but still best suited to hit 8th.
They've tried Goldy briefly at cleanup, but never stuck with it. With Peralta not a traditional leadoff hitter, I like the idea of not dropping Marte to the bottom when Lamb returns.
And if Lamb goes into his second half swoon (as he has for the past two seasons) and Souza does not come through with RBI's, it would be good to have Pollock already in the heart of the order.
If that is all too radical, how about this.
Keep Goldy 3rd but also keep Pollock cleanup, with Lamb and Souza behind them batting 5th and 6th. Yeah, that's the ticket.
