Jude LaCava said on Fox 10 Sports that ARZ is not interested, so maybe a smoke screen so they market doesn't heat up?

Jurecki reporting today that Keim's top 3 targets are Sam Bradford, Josh McCown and Jacoby Brissett (if Colts are willing to trade him).

Imagine going from Carson Palmer to Sam Bradford?

Right on, Brak. Foles painted an absolute Rembrandt. That game winning drive was incredibly gutsy and so amazingly clutch under the circumstances, especially having led all game and now being behind with time running out (classic Patriots' GW pattern). How about the 4th and 2 from their own 45 yard line, and Foles calmly sidesteps the rush to his left and throws a dime to Ertz.

For years whenever I even mention Foles as a QB whom the Cardinals should consider it causes immediate vitriol and vomiting icons on the board and cascades of "he sucks." Thus, I find it very illuminating that now that Foles has proven to the world that he can win a Super Bowl while putting on a flat-out clinic at the QB position, the same detractors are making excuses and still saying he sucks.

I would take Nick Foles over Kirk Cousins every day of the week. Cousins hasn't won squat. And he thinks he's a $28M a year QB?

The only other veteran QB I'd be very excited about is Tyrod Taylor, if he becomes available.

If we can't trade for Foles (who likely will stay in Philly), I would like to see us do what Philly did two years ago---trade up as high as we can and take the best QB possible. In that scenario I like Darnold, Allen or Jackson. I think Mayfield will still be on the board at #15, and if we stay there, I would take him there. I like Rudolph and Falk in trade down scenarios. Falk, as a matter of fact, reminds me quite a bit of Foles. I have him rated right up there with the top 6-7.
Foles was never in discussion for Cardinals QB three weeks ago. It is good to have doubts about Cousins. I get it.
But total confidence in Foles to give up a first rounder has to include more scrutiny.

Just as I don't believe Jurecki, I don't believe LaCava. MB&SK aren't saying sheet to anyone.

Or.. maybe they're leaking mis-information. I hope to God that they aren't really considering signing Bradford. I'm on the fence as to whether or not we renew our season tickets next year - if Bradford is signed, I'm OUT!

Bradford and a rookie QB would have you cancel your tickets, but trading away a bunch of picks and spending a bunch of cash wouldn't?

Man, this board is so diametrically opposed to each other that I think we're gonna just pull apart at the seams by day one of free agency.

Bradford alone wouldn't cause me to not renew - as I said, we're on the fence anyways, in large part because we're now living 3 hours from Jiffy Pop Stadium. Bradford would merely push me over the edge. That said..

Bradford sucks, and he's fragile as hell. I'd take Foles, Keenum, or even McCown over him any day of the week and twice on Sunday. And that #1 that everyone is freaking out over is the #15 pick - a far cry from a top 3-5 pick. A chance to snag a SB MVP, still in his 20's, with a ton of upside, for a mid-1st round pick? Yeah baby, in a heartbeat.

Foles didn't get to play in OTA's or preseason, he got almost no reps during the season so yes, it took him some time to get in sync with the offense and teammates. It's criminal to hold anything that happened when he was on the Rams against him.

Foles has had far more good/great games then bad ones.

I love his attitude and demeanor. I can't stand Cousins goofy personality. "Who wants in on the hive five party?" "You Like that! You Like that!" Uhmmm no, no I don't.

Foles went up against the evil Empire and went throw for throw against Tom Brady.............That is not a fluke and not luck. Billacheat and Brady don't loose to looser QB's, especially in the Super Bowl. To me it's very simple math, if you beat the Patriots in the SB you have a ton of talent and HUGE BALLS.

Don't get me wrong, I'm reconsidering too, given the 300ish mile gap between my house and the stadium. But Bradford is a cost-effective bridge to lead into the future, that we could keep our draft pick with - Foles is an inconsistent guy who would insist upon the lead role in any kind of trade, along with commensurate pay.

That said, I have the same opinion of Keenum that I do Bradford. McCown would be hugely disappointing to me.

I'm just not giving up money and assets for a guy with middling success.

I heard some of that and it sounded more like speculation. Jurecki has been pushing McCown for a while.

I just read McCown better than Bradford? That's how good Carson was. He has us all losing our minds. My list is Cousins....Bradford or Bridgewater. My wish would be a trade for Dalton with us drafting Baker or Jackson. All these other names including Pro Bowl MVP Foles don't cut it. Remember Rypien and Williams. Just cause you MVP don't mean Jack except the game you MVP of.

Bradford is only 30 and has one of the best arms out there. Problem is the rest of him is made of glass.

I wouldn't be surprised if he is the QB the Vikes sign first.

But the risk is lower if u sign a qb who won the superbowl and got the MVP
Wasn’t mark rypien a superbowl mvp? He stunk. Doug Williams was a superbowl winner and then meh. Don’t get lured by the short term sparkly object.

The Eagles are in cap hell, 4.6 mil over the limit. They don't have that many players they want to let go. So they will probably trade Foles. We win whether we trade for him or not. With Cousins, Bradford, and Foles in the mix, it will definitely relieve the pressure on the pursuing Darnold, Rosen, Mayfield, and Rudolph draft war.

he was definitely rough against Oakland. That game was super tough to watch. But he only played a quarter against Philly and then was a solid game manager against the Falcons.

I'm definitely interested... maybe not for a first round pick, but maybe because I don't trust Keim to target/do what's necessary to get our QBOTF in the first.

Wait...what???? Weren't we all tank for better draft pick, like yesterday? I hope we lose by 50 some weeks ago? I know hyperbole....

I"m with you on the first point, Rypien was a turd, and Williams overthrew receivers almost as often as Stanton. But I think Foles' body of work is FAR more impressive than Rypien's one achievement. He sure as hell didn't beat the GOAT QB at the top of his game.

Look, we all have our opinions and let's face it - at this point, we have NO idea how any of this will play out - or which QBs will bloom and flourish, and which ones will stink it up in the future. Let's just hope that the Cards' front office is smarter than all of us and pulls off some sort of miracle. Amos Jones is gone, that's a good start!

Really? Rypien wasn’t just the Super Bowl MVP. He was UPI’s Offensive Player Of The Year in 1991, 2nd Team All-Pro That year and made two pro bowls in ‘89/91.

We are likely never going to agree on a QB---different strokes for different folks.

On ROTB yesterday, one poster was adamant that "Nick Foles has a low ceiling."

Man, isn't putting in a Warner-esque, near picture perfect MVP performance in the Super Bowl over Tom Brady and the Patriots on the brightest, pressure packed stage of all the highest ceiling imaginable?

Foles had to be outstanding from start to finish to win that game (like Warner vs. GB in 2009) and if that doesn't impress someone, then nothing ever will.

Well said
He didnt perform anywhere good in Saint Louis and he got lebeled as a mediocre qb
And now for someone its a cliche' keep saying is not worth consideration as a starter
mostly of the people has up and down moments but the best are able to overcome advertsity
And thats what foles did
He become a better qb upgrading each aspects of his game
Stop looking at the past and give to this guy the credit he deserve

I would add too that Foles showed once before how special he could be during Chip Kelly's first year in Philly, making the Pro Bowl after throwing 27 TD to 2 ints. That year Foles was winning games late in 4th quarters the way he did n the Super Bowl. His success is not a fluke.

Tyrod Taylor is a baller. And he doesn't turn the ball over---51/18 TD/int, career.

Well, an aversion to throwing in tight windows and then off on a gallop skews the numbers.

But, don't take my word, read what is said by those who ACTUALLY cover the Bills.

Get Foles and stock up on draft picks. Get the QB from Richmond if possible, but if we get FOles then still draft a qb.

To get Foles, you have to give up draft picks you would use to draft a QB in the earlier rounds.

Ill give our two 3rd round picks for Foles and draft the qb from RIchmond or Lamar jackson in the 2nd round.
