Right on, Brak. Foles painted an absolute Rembrandt. That game winning drive was incredibly gutsy and so amazingly clutch under the circumstances, especially having led all game and now being behind with time running out (classic Patriots' GW pattern). How about the 4th and 2 from their own 45 yard line, and Foles calmly sidesteps the rush to his left and throws a dime to Ertz.
For years whenever I even mention Foles as a QB whom the Cardinals should consider it causes immediate vitriol and vomiting icons on the board and cascades of "he sucks." Thus, I find it very illuminating that now that Foles has proven to the world that he can win a Super Bowl while putting on a flat-out clinic at the QB position, the same detractors are making excuses and still saying he sucks.
I would take Nick Foles over Kirk Cousins every day of the week. Cousins hasn't won squat. And he thinks he's a $28M a year QB?
The only other veteran QB I'd be very excited about is Tyrod Taylor, if he becomes available.
If we can't trade for Foles (who likely will stay in Philly), I would like to see us do what Philly did two years ago---trade up as high as we can and take the best QB possible. In that scenario I like Darnold, Allen or Jackson. I think Mayfield will still be on the board at #15, and if we stay there, I would take him there. I like Rudolph and Falk in trade down scenarios. Falk, as a matter of fact, reminds me quite a bit of Foles. I have him rated right up there with the top 6-7.
