The 'roid thing is news to me...was Randy Johnson in on it too? Schilling?

It probably won't surprise you when I tell you that my Cards (thanks to Big Mac and Edmonds) were no slouches in that era...maybe the worst

And finally our Diamondbacks who gave us the greatest moment in AZ sports. They are considered the 2001 World Series Champions* with what should be an asteric. It was fun and exciting, but looking back now, it surely was a purchased championship at the height of the steroid period. The following season they could not afford to pay all their players again so let many of them go, while others shrunk in size and back to their natural levels of performance when they came off the juice.

.
No this cannot be allowed to stand. The team was purchased for sure, but so were every team that won between 97 and then. Was Gonzo juicing? I don't know probably but everyone was as baseball turned a blind eye for ratings? Has his name ever been released officially? 2002 we were even better, but in the last week of the season Gonzo got hurt extending for a fly ball and we lost the LDS rematch with the Cardinals. The team was still mostly in tact the next year we just got destroyed by injuries, 2003 was the year of the baby backs.

I can relate. Half of my family lived in Chicago. Strangely most of them were Sox fans

On the Cubbies: I was stunned when they dropped Mad Joe! I really like that guy. I can't speak to his in-game managing one way or another, I just like the man.

Has he ended up anywhere yet?

He's the manager of the Angels. I loved Joe as well. Laid back & cool all of the time. :)

Welcome to the valley of no major Pro Champions. Allow me to fill you in.

We have our original losing team, the Suns. 60 years of futility. One great NBA playoff championship series vs the Celtics back in the 70s..

Then our most loved Cardinals, as you know, snuck in one fairy tale season which they lost the super bowl in the last few seconds by a tippy toe.

The Coyotes - I should probably let a hockey fan share their story.

And finally our Diamondbacks who gave us the greatest moment in AZ sports. They are considered the 2001 World Series Champions* with what should be an asteric. So us 21st century AZ fans keep on hoping we one day can enjoy a championship, purchased or not. Welcome aboard.

despite all the losing from the Sarver era the Suns are still like the 5th winningest franchise in the NBA. How do you leave out Barkley and 93 or the Nash Suns. Come on now

He seems a little bitter

That team played by the same rules as everyone else at the time. It was a true champion!

Both of those post Bidwill moves were egregious. I know the Indie band STILL plays together, and Paul Brown is more vilified than all others in any sport I can think of
Baltimore Colts to Indianapolis - 1984
St. Louis (football) Cardinals to Arizona - 1988
Cleveland Browns to Baltimore - 1996

I live in Gilbert and love. We took a drive to look at a house in Anthem today. Didn’t get out of course just drive by it. I would love to live up there but my wife kept complaining about how far it is

That's right guys, I've moved to Phoenix from St. Louis. Due to unconnected work transfers my brother and my daughter ended up in Gilbert and Tempe, so having no kin in the Lou anymore I made the move.

Really looking forward to watching the Big Red every week instead of the freaking game day 13 weeks of the season. The only downside is that I will sorely miss my (baseball) Cards :(
1988 Phoenix Cardinals called, they want their fight plan back. :D
