If ASU wins out they're still in a BCS bowl regardless of what Oregon does.

Winning out isn't out of the question either. USC at home and 2 bad opponents in UCLA(road game) and UofA(at home). 11-1 or even 10-2 at worst is better than I would guess anyone expected this year.

A BCS game is also something we never had under Koetter...I didn't expect a win in Oregon today especially not with the way Oregon has been playing and the fact that it was a road game.

Fix that OLine this offseason Mr. Ericson and we'll be PAC 10 contenders next season.

I didn't expect a win either. It's a bit frustrating though, because of yet another slow start. Those points they left off the board in the first half on the failure to score a TD and the missed FG, really could have put a scare into Oregon. Then, when the Ducks stopped ASU on the 4th and 1 in the 3rd quarter, that turned the game into Oregon's favor. I was hoping for play action there.

The UCLA game this Saturday is scary. It's a "letdown" game and on the road.

I don't think it will be... UCLA has lost 3 of 4 and is going to be playing with their 3rd Strong QB

Translation: The Bruins are going to run the ball A LOT and and the devils just have to focus on stopping the run....

I don't think Erickson will let there be a let down.. IMO

Well, I had a great weekend in Oregon, though it obviously would've been better with a victory.

Oregon fans were pretty cool. We had plenty of "f-bombs" thrown our way, but they were far outnumbered by, "Good luck. Welcome to Eugene." Their indoor practice facility (Moshofsky Center?) is sweet, and a great place for pre-game festivities. It's basically a "Birds Nest" on steroids, complete with food, music, beer, etc.

As for the game, Dixon is amazing. I had a great vantage point and still had a hard time following the ball due to his fakes. I'm still not sure if it's possible, but we were probably more impressed by their punter. Every kick looked as if it was headed out of bounds, and yet they all dropped in play, and just freaking died on the spot. That guy changed the game big time.

The stadium is actually pretty small, and the reputation it has for noise is well deserved, though I think most visitors are impressed by the volume from such a small crowd, vs. overall decible level. Having been to the Cards playoff clincher (vs. SD) in '98, Coyotes playoff games, too many ASU games to count, etc, the overall noise didn't impress too much. Still, the atmosphere is what makes college football great.

The story of the game of course, was too many blown chances in the redzone. Hopefully it's corrected next week.

All in all, a great turnout by Devil fans, and a great time. Now, on to UCLA...
