Starting today, #NHL plans to close dressing room access to media, on recommendation of Centers for Disease Control in effort to stop the spread of coronavirus. NBA, MLB and MLS are expected to follow. Media availabilities will now be conducted in formal press conference areas.

More details on the NHL suspending play. No travel allowed. No meeting. No paractices. However, it’s a rapidly changing environment. For now it’s go home, go home and stay home until further notice.

Another crazy busy day for the NHL and NHLPA. Rules are being developed for players as we speak. Can they leave their home team city? Workout/skating location policies, etc. Two conference calls scheduled. Should have a working agreement by end of the day.

Further to what I reported on Sportscentre specific to players self quarantine...players with families outside of their club city can leave provided they alert their teams GM. Clarifying in the event reports of players leaving NHL cities surface.

Hearing the NHL considers 24 teams to get to the playoffs with a playout round to be played. If the season is going to be resumed, of course
I know of one team that considers this a strong option. NHL schedule maker is literally working through all options and NHL clubs are submitting creative ideas as well.
