and boy does it piss me off...........

Plummer's quote:
"It's just exciting to be training here where we work out at, where we're putting the work in the offseason, where we practice," Plummer said. "I haven't had that in the past. It was there for me (at Arizona), but I didn't want to participate. It wasn't as well-done as it was here."

I am so glad the Cards LEADER has left the building - no wonder why the f&^%king guy sucked here. GOOD RIDDANCE!!!!!!!!

BY all means, let's have all the Jake supporters chime in now!!!!!!!!!!!!! Let's see, the last time I checked they were paying you a hell of alot of money to give your full effort at QB... guess that means nothing to him!!!!! Glad he's gone!!!!!!!!

I heard his second pass was an interception...the first one was a short pass into the ground.

Looking past what a shmuck Jake is for saying something like this, anybody notice anything else?

"It isn't done as well as it is here"..... I have long thought Arizona needed to improve it's weight program, nutrition and preventative measures (message therapy, accupuncture, etc.) It just seems to me we have above the normal number of injuries EVERY year.

Remember all of the old John Elway jokes when they lost the Super Bowls? They could now be Jake jokes....

Anybody hear Jake tried to commit suicide? But somebody intercepted the bullet...

Or my personal favorite...

How do oyu keep Jake out of his house?
Put an endzone in front of the door.

Reading all the stuff Plummer said, makes me want to puke.

He seems to be taking very veiled shots at the team. Screw him.
We all need to move on and forget about him....that means burn your Plummer jerseys and never think about him again.

Jurecki today on 1060 was talking about one time when he was talking to Plummer in the locker room. He said that Plummer has REALLY BAD vision. An inside source of mine that knows a lot about Plummer's financial info., said that Plummer paid thousands of dollars for laser eye surgery, which backs up Jurecki's claim of Plummer having bad vision.....if only there was a surgery for a brain transplant, he could be an amazing QB.:D

How would you know Jake?

I am (or was a Jake supporter... hope that didn't put me on the level of a jock strap) pro-Jake but how the hell would he know if he didn't ever take part. Please Jake, don't pass judgement on something you never followed through with. The comment about the weight program is crap because even though Boston and Pittman had their own added weight lifting programs for sure, some of that body building took place under the watchful eyes of the Card's staff and those guys where some of the most built players in the league. I think I got one word to explain Jake... can we say 'lazy' boys and girls... L A Z Y. Now say it slowly Jake, we all know how you have problems reading defenses.
GO TROOPS!!!, go cardinals!

My eyes are so bad, you can use my prescription to see the future!

And I see still see the field better than Jake!

All the stuff Plummer said?

"It wasn't as well done as it was here."

RAT BASTARD! Who does he think he is, slammin us like that?

All the Jake supporters?

The last Jake poll on this site asked if Jeff Blake was an upgrade to Jake. Out of 113 votes, 100 said yes.

Jurecki is largely resposible for running Jake out of town. Jurecki, the Cardinals Insider, has called Jake stupid, blind, and weak. Halfway through the season last year, Jurecki said he'd rather have Joey Harrington than Jake, after Harrington had played 8 professional football games.

If Mike Shanahan knows what he's doing, Jurecki will be eating about a metric ton of crow next year, and I'll help serve it.

The funny thing is Lex: Most Cards observers totally agree with Jurecki....I guess the joke is on the few that blindly supports him.

Pretty stupid that you say "Jurecki ran him out of town". I thought his stupid behind the back passes and a truckload of ill-timed and stupid interceptions ran him out of town.

I would take Harrington over Plummer anyday, and I don't think to highly of Harrington.

Lex, what will it take to get you off your Jake worship? Jake coming to your house and telling you personally he tanked it here? That is basically what he was saying in that quote.

pretty funny that someone thinks jurecki ran jake out of town...wait till the denver media figures out his weaknesses. Can anyone name a qb who had a lower qb rating year after year and remained the unquestioned starter of a team for so long? I liked jake the 1st few years..I began to turn on him (i.e. began to think he was terrible) about a year and half ago (seasonwise)..it had nothing to do with jurecki - he always thought plummer sucked.. FWIW - the ratings of any show jurecki has been on in the valley on radio have been so low that they do not even register in the arbitron ratings.. I always liked jake - I met him at training camp and he seemed like a decent enough guy..and I respect the letter he did in the az republic. Something that bothered me was when he 1st got the job in denver - at the very 1st press conference he talked about how psyched he was and he was going to start to work out immediately, etc. etc...why did he not do it here?

If what you say is true, that "most Cards observers totally agree with Jurecki," are you really saying that Mike Jurecki and Cards observers are smarter than the Bears and Broncos?

Ok, whatever.

I also get a kick out of how a lot of posters, when faced with someone that disagrees with their assessment of Plummers ability, go right to name calling, "Jake lover" or "Jake worshiper" or claim people are "blind followers."

Oh by the way Jon- I guess the reader can interpret a quote in whatever way makes them feel comfortable. When you read the quote, you understood it to mean he "tanked it" when he was here.

I read the same quote, and understand it to mean, he had the opportunity to participate in workouts here during the offseason, but declined. He spent his summers in his home town of Boise, similar climate to Denver. I figure another reason he didn't want to participate here, was because TJ and DB were always hanging out there, poisoning the locker room, and doing illeagal stuff.

Yes Beef, I'm dead serious. This problem goes WAY back. Back to when Jake got that stupid contract, that Jake himself has stated, was double what he would have taken. That act, polarized many players against Plummer in the clubhouse, because they felt his contract cost THEM income.

DB and TJ are punks. I guess we'll see how good DB is next season without the Jake anchor around his poor little neck. Thomas Jones is useless.

I forgot about how untalented Boston was coming out of college and how well Jake played when Boston was out - oh yeah, wait a second, Jake's best season came when Boston had 1600 yards - funny how that works? About them doing illegal stuff in the locker room - are you kidding me? And while I may agree that Jones is worthless, there had never been word of him being a cancer until he broke his fist "while answering his phone".

Come on the guy just admitted it was available in Arizona and he didn't do it, of course he's going to qualify that with a dig at teh Cards otherwise he just admitted he goofed off in the offseason. Recall several people over the years(writers) implied that Jake didn't spend the time watching film like he should have, he just admitted it was true.

Hey now.... I have to protect my home town boy. Well my home town for now any way.

I think Harrington will do well in the NFL. Hell wasn't his QB rating close to Jake's in his first year?

Ah just when life got really slow nothing like the age old Plummer debate.

His comments were to say the least stupid.

He was all over infomercials with the abdominizer or whatever show how hard he works in the offseason.

Jake Plummers problem can be directly traced back to him or more specifically in the region located where a human brain "should" be.

His arm was good enough not great but good enough and he has great instincts but lousy lousy skills at not being a bonehead.

I don't think I have ever seen someone try something as blatantly stupid as a behind the back pass in the NFL. He could follow that up with a fumble / 25 yard pass completion.

Jake isn't going to be any better in Denver unless they dumb down the entire offense to McDonalds keypad entry level.

Maybe technology is the answer like a heads up visor display that is converted from current secret military technology with add ins like blinking red icons for enemy safties and CB's and shock therapy pads for those pesky habits like behind the back passes hopefully located in his groin area.

I can just see Mike S on the sidelines with a huge console and VR suit proving that he wasn't a complete idiot for going after Jake then after the game the suit is shown laying on the ground smoldering and Coach S is just rocking in a corner muttering double coverage Jake double coverage godamit what is the key pad combo for take a sack..... oh sweet merciful God he is stupid... cue the drool on his chin.

Sure, I can see where a guy saying he didn't participate in workouts because it wasn't set up as well = my teammates were drug addicts I didn't want to be there.

The guy made 29.7 million from us on his 2nd contract and just admitted he never went to offseason workouts, if he didn't like the way it was setup why the hell didn't he complain when he was here? Why didn't he go public the same guy that said more than once he was going to be involved in recruiting FA's here was afraid to speak up about offseason workouts?

I thought this was a strength workout? Doesn't sound like he threw any passes, or if he did it certainly doesn't sound like there was a defense involved.

Don't get me wrong, though. I'm glad for the Cardinals and Jake that he's in Denver.

Beef- I agree, Boston's best season was when Jake was throwing the ball to him. His talent coming out of college was justified, what he's done with all that talent is a shame.

TJ was known to be a cancer long before he tried to answer the phone. People that live here, and were watching, knew this. First he couldn't play because he had a "breathing Problem," then the unfortune phone incident happened, just as his buddy DB left town, and assured TJ's departure from the desert.

Funny how THAT worked out eh?

Anybody know how well the players are supported? Not saying the Cards suck at it, but I have never gotten the impression that they spend a lot of resources on physical well being. Wasn't it just 2 years ago the first time they employed a nutritionist? Remember Burke eaing cheese burgers to gain weight?

All I am saying is that I have always gotten that impression about the facility and offseason resources and programs being subpar. Just wondering how the team sizes up to the rest.
