Well, that wasn't worth waiting for. There were about 3 TE's I would have taken instead.

cbs has him as the 472nd ranked prospect. Yikes.

If the Cardinals could have drafted center Brian Schwenke it would have been an A+ draft.

ok...

Mike Jurecki ‏@mikejurecki 23h
TE DC Jefferson 6'5 255 four yr starter, injured his pectoral muscle at the combine, lacks elite top end speed, looks the part, long arms.

Do they always schedule a commercial break when the the Cards pick!? Seems like it happens every time?

Blocking TE but he is no complete slouch as a receiver. Not a bad pick

Strengths
Good athlete with good length. Flashes enough foot quickness to sit down in zones to present a big target, and often uses his long strides to cover a lot of ground down the seam, where his height presents a challenge to defenders. Also a willing blocker on the edge who is capable of bringing force out of his stance and attempts to sustain throughout the play.

STRENGTHS: Flashed his talented skill-set during practices at the Shrine Game, showing off his large, athletic frame and proving to be an imposing target downfield and a physical blocker.

I wonder how good of a blocker he'd be if he could do 15-20 reps.

And that's the draft. Very happy we got some players in my opinion. Shocked Okafor fell to us so late. Very very interested to see how the honey badger plays out. I think minter and cooper are studs.

The running backs time will tell but both seem to really run hard. Swope is solid

Yeah seeing the film he looks proficient at it.

I'm down with a blocking TE.

Re: D.C. Jefferson TE - all the kid has to do is be better than Alex Gottlieb and Jim Dray and its a win.
