How do you figure? 3 games this season they have struggled in. Mizzou, Illinois, and Oregon. The games they were expected to win easily they did. The $C game was out of reach before the end of 3, same with Utah, blew out Colorado, Destroyed OSU in the 2nd half. I dont get your logic.

How do you figure? 3 games this season they have struggled in. Mizzou, Illinois, and Oregon. The games they were expected to win easily they did. The $C game was out of reach before the end of 3, same with Utah, blew out Colorado, Destroyed OSU in the 2nd half. I dont get your logic.

Was based more on Erickson and his time here... but yes, this season - so far - he's pretty much taken care of business... though, that Illinois loss really hurts...

Now I see your point and agree, I also agree about Illinois, it keeps looking worse as the weeks go on.

I am hoping for the best and an ASU blowout of course. But the combination of ASU playing like they did against Oregon State, lots of penalties against ASU and UCLA playing fired up to try to prove something could be a concern.

Illinois is a good team.

Yeah, they have lost three now, but to Ohio State (which is cranking now), @Penn State in the snow by 3, and a close one to Purdue - not bad losses at all.

No, no they are not. They're a mediocre team that will likely finish with 8 wins due to a pretty terrible schedule. Of their projected wins, ASU is likely to be the only Bowl team they'll have beaten.

There is absolutely no reason ASU should've lost that game. I expected ASU to go 10-3 this year (losing in the P12 Title Game) but I really didn't see the Illinois loss, I figured it would be against USC.

Have to agree. We are the only even halfway decent win on their schedule. Their other wins are vs Arkansas State, South Dakota State, Western Michigan, Northwestern and Indiana. They're 6-3 and they're last 3 games are Michigan (loss), Wisconsin (loss) and Minnesota (win, the Gophers are awful). They'll finish 7-5 and probably lose in their bowl game like most Big 10 teams. Horrible loss for ASU.

On another note, good sign for ASU today: UCLA has alternated wins and losses all season. They won last week.

Perhaps, but it hasn't been at all flukey. So far, UCLA looks like the superior team. Between our inability to stop them and our stupid play calling, we're lucky the gap isn't more than 9 points.

The offensive play calling for ASU is pathetic. They are so freaking predictable. You know at least every 3rd play is going to be a swing pass. If it wasn't for the great running the offense would have been even more pathetic. Our QB has trouble with anything beyond 5 yards down the field in this game.

If you leave a game up to a young kicker, away and in a close game....you deserve to lose.

Once their QB took off for those first two runs it was all over for our defense. BUT, I blame this loss on our first possession. That stupid short yardage 3rd down play where he overthrows the receiver gave UCLA the life they needed. Had we scored on that drive I really think we win in a huge blowout.

UCLA is a lot like us, they aren't too bright and they'll fold if you give them half a chance. I loved the play call though. Let's throw a pass in a short yardage situation against a team that is absolutely horrible on 3rd down defense because they cannot stop the run. Stupid, stupid, stupid.
