Arizona State gets a commitment from top safety, Jaylin Marshall. He is a four star prospect.

It is early in the 2022 recruiting cycle, but Arizona State has already delivered quite the message to future foes by securing a commitment from four-star safety Jaylin Marshall out of Hallandale High School (Fla.), which is southeast of Fort Lauderdale.

Marshall, a 6-foot-3, 190-pound safety, had 23 offers, nine of those from SEC schools and made the announcement on social media on his 17th birthday. Among those courting him were notable powers in Alabama, Florida and LSU. Other suitors included the school closest to home in Miami, as well as Oklahoma, Penn State and Pac-12 contender Utah.

Sun Devils add transfer wide receiver from Utah, Bryan Thompson.

Herm Edwards and his staff added another weapon for quarterback Jayden Daniels, as former Utah wide receiver Bryan Thompson is transferring to Arizona State.

The team announced on Friday that Thompson signed a grant-in-aid letter to play for the Sun Devils and will have two years of eligibility left.

Thompson made a name for himself due to his big play ability. He has averaged 22.9 yards per catch on 33 career receptions.

Arizona State gets commit from four-star athlete Larry Turner-Gooden for 2022 recruiting class.

Four-star athlete Larry Turner-Gooden committed to the Arizona State Sun Devils on Friday, giving coach Herm Edwards’ staff the 57th-rated prospect in the 2022 recruiting class, according to 247 Sports’ composite rankings.

The 6-foot, 179-pound athlete is the fourth-highest rated recruit to ever land with the Sun Devils, per the website’s composite rankings that date back to 2000.

Only linebacker Vontaze Burfict (11th overall, 2009), tight end Zach Miller (25th, 2004) quarterback Jayden Daniels (35th, 2019) rated higher in history. Terrell Suggs, who was listed as an athlete, was rated 62nd in the 2000 class.

Arizona State adds transfer tight end Geor'quarius Spivey of Mississippi State.

The addition is tight end Geor'quarius Spivey of Mississippi State who will have three years of eligibility remaining.


He reportedly picked ASU over Auburn, Indiana and Texas Tech.

The 6-foot-5, 240-pounder started three games last season and had 11 catches for 121 yards as a wide receiver. His best game came against state rival Mississippi when he managed five catches for 97 yards in a 31-24 loss.
