The D needs alot of work. The offense is awesome, the D almost lost this game for them.

You get a win like this, it can breathe a whole new spirit into the team.

I expect the defense to be invigorated by this save by the offense, and to play better from here on out. We still won't win much scoring in the teens, but we won't need to put up around 40 to win every game either.

But to rant, the running into the kicker penalty is idiotic. Forget football, in what sport is it an automatic foul for inadvertently brushing into an opponent that lightly?

Gotta love a kid that backs up the talk. 500+ and 5 TDs.

Not sure who's defense was worse, Cal against UA or USC against us, but...Ill take it!

Having watched that about 50 times now, what #10 and #4 did for USC on that play is horrendously bad. #10 was the worst, he completely had his head up his butt. But, #4 just quit on the play and I think he could've at least gotten a penalty to stop it even if he didn't reach the ball. I guess we can throw #22 in there as well, but at least he was deep in the end zone and tried to make a play. The fact that Bercovici's throw was a little short of the end zone turned out to be a blessing.

That said, YEAH BABY!!! Stupid USC!!

#4 just turns at the 5 yard line and starts skipping like a little girl instead of competing anymore! :biglaugh:

Yeah, at the moment, players from SC are throwing the coaches under the bus. Half thought they were in prevent, half thought they were in Cover 2 (for whatever reason). Blaming lack of communication.

This conference is bananas

It is. I don't think anyone makes the NCAA playoff as I bet everyone has at least two losses or, like ASU, has too much ground to make up even if the run the table.

And, no, I don't think Oregon will run the table. They are not as good as in the past. The main factor being, IMO, everyone is used to defending that type of offense now.

That makes it even better. Maybe the finger pointing rips their season apart.

Hell, what is there to communicate? Everyone knew it was going to the endzone, you shouldn't really have to even make a call and it should still be defended.

I think we know what Pac-12 defenses will be practicing this week.

It looked like #10 was acting like he was going to field a punt or something while Jaelen Strong tracked the ball in stride and jumped to catch it going into the endzone. This is where an under thrown ball payed off. The defense was just waiting for the ball to come down.

this whole sport is bananas. I can not remember another day like today in college football. And now Utah is up 10 on UCLA, lets hope they hold on!

That can't be. Their sideline cheerleading and dancing routines seemed very well coordinated.

Their reserves were pretty juvenile. Every time there was a penalty (or one that should've been called), they threw their yellow towels in the air. Because that's going to prompt the officials to get SC more calls :sarcasm:

"Juvenile" was the word I kept thinking, too. Never seen a team act like that, with all the dancing and swaying and stuff. Weird.

Man, Utah pulls it off! They better have, as I was cussing the Utah coaches decision to take a knee and a FG instead of trying for a first down or td. I was furious! That kind of call deserves to get beat, I'm so glad UCLA's kicker missed twice!

Wow... What an unbelievable day in college football (not to mention that 18 inning record breaker in the Giants/Nats game). Don't think I have ever seen a day like it, ever!
Great win for the Devils. And tremendous performance by Berc. Our defense will ensure we will always struggle for wins, but man is our offense a machine... With the exception of our run game. Now that we are playing real teams, we suddenly can't run the ball anymore... So no run game and no defense spells trouble the rest of the way...

Just got back from the game...never thought we'd win until it was over...craziest finish I've ever seen live.
