And by this you are saying its OK for the fine students at arizona university to, mock the death of Pat Tillman? Come into the ASU student section at a game, im sure it was to invite them out for beers later? I can go on and on but like stated before, whatever you say about ASU will come back on au. Love how even in your school paper you rats bread hate towards ASU.

Why do ASU fans think calling the UofA "au" is insulting? It's not even on the level of the whoopee cushion, so I'm not sure why you think it's so funny.

Oh, and it's spelled "bred", not "bread". :D

I never got that either. And au is the symbol for gold on the periodic table so it is actually a compliment.

Wow. What a bunch of pansies you ASU fans are.

Is Glasser out of the hospital yet from what that "thug" Parrom did to him?

Personally I love Kevin and am glad he's going to be sticking forearms into you guys for the next 3 years. As long as no one gets seriously hurt, I want him leaning on you guys all. day. long. I LOVE that he hates ASU and I LOVE that DB coming in next year hates the Devils too. I want guys like that on my team.

I am not one to get up in arms about thugs like Burflict and Dodd when the shoe is reversed so why the hell am I going to care that some goofy looking ASU dork got a forearm shiver at the end of the game?

Answer: I'm not.

Go cry somewhere else.

Why let the truth get in the way of a classic AF authoritative rant? It's certainly never stopped him before.

Certainly nothing to cry about in Tempe, we've won 6 out of 7, and 3 in a row in Tucson. You'd be laughed off the board 4 years ago if you would have suggested that possibility. ASU's hoops program continues to grow and improve, putting up another 20 win season after losing their top 2 players to the NBA.

If anyone should be shedding tears, it's Cats fans. Lute's gone, the tourney streak is gone, and your program appears stuck in neutral. But keep telling us about how Herb is a mediocre coach, and can't recruit, and how awesome your potential prospects are. Let me know when U of A accomplishes something sans Lute.

Let me know when ASU accomplishes something with Herb. And no, going to the Round of 32 with a once oin a generation player and beating up on KO and the head coach at Grand Canyon don't count.

Miller will be fine. Anyone who follows college basketball knows that he will be winning sooner rather than later with his recruiting prowess. The only people who think this program is stuck in neutral are myopic ASU fans.

Oh Lookeee here. Little brother doesn't get his lunch money stolen from him a couple days in a row and all of a sudden he's running his mouth like he has something to brag about.

If you think we are stuck in "neutral" because our first year coach, with 5 freshman on the team and one senior, whom has out recruited your coach in 8 months of being employeed, and whom has a better tournament record then your coach who has been coaching much longer - then obviously you ASU fans know as little about college basketball as all UA fans thought in the first place.

You think you maybe jumping the gun a little by asking for instant results 3/4's of the way through Miller's first season? Or asking us to "wake you when we accomplish something sans Lute" lol Why don't you wake us when ASU football does something sans Frank Kush?

The streak may die this year, but the future of the program is not dire by any stretch. Quite the contrary. Why don't you guys go on a streak of at least 2 CONSECUTIVE years of making the tourney before running your mouth and predicting the demise of the basketball giant down south????

Baby steps my friend, considering the history of the program, and the disgusting mess left by Evans, it's pretty impressive what Herb has done. Considering the team this year lost Harden and Pendergraph, and was predicted to finish 7th in the Pac 10, Herb has done an outstanding job. While we may never be a top 2 team in Pac-10 hoops, who really ever expected that anyway? To be a top 5 in conference at a primarily football school would be great, and something that Herb could maintain.

Well, I suppose neutral wouldn't be the right term, because getting Miller was manna from heaven, and seemed to help the dumpster fire the program had become post Lute. From Lute's indiscretions, to the head coach fiasco, which included two head coaching failures, and an attempt to bring TIM FLOYD on board, things ain't the same as the old days in Tucson.

Cats fans continue to assert that the glory days are coming back, and Derrick Williams is a scary sign, but again, let's hold off on self congrats until you actually accomplish something post Lute.

That "dumpster fire" you refer to consisted of three tourny appearances and one Sweet 16. We accomplished more in those seasons than ASU did since the mid 90s. By your logic, if we are a dumpster fire, ASU must be the equivalent to the Great Chicago Fire of 1871

Are you the type that LOVES Bruce Bowen and Manu Ginobili and truely believes the way they play the game is correct?

Because though you may  Parrom because he is a classless dousche, you may want to step back and realize this is a theme, and not just because he "hates" ASU... is it because he is a dirty BASKETBALL player, period..

You may like him for that, but you sure as crap can't respect him, because he is classless, period...

And Again, ASU is not without fault, they have their share of shady players, but Parrom continues to display his charactor time and time again...

And you hate him, we get it. Yet someone like Raja Bell who's also a dirty cheap-shot artist yet he's treated like a conquering hero in the ASFN world. Do you not respect Raja? Most Arizona fans understand that like Raja Parrom's a dirty player but that it is merely part of the game.

Like I said from the beginning - a hard foul is fine with me, but a guy shoving someone in the back after a play is ridiculous. Someday he's going to really hurt somebody.

Dirty play (including hard/questionable fouls) within the confines of the rules is one thing, but to shove a player after the play is over or give a forearm to the opposition after the game's already out of reach is just him showing his immaturity.

Saying UA is stuck in neutral is laughable. We are full of freshman and sophomore and were in 1st place in the conference in February, have a team full of young guys who play hard, have the Pac-10 FOY on the roster, and making an impact on the recruiting trail...

We arent the typical Arizona, but to say we are stuck in neutral 1 year after reaching the Sweet Sixteen, rebuilding with a new coach, and a last second recruiting class that has one of the best post players in the conference is just ignorant.

Arizona's roster when Sean Miller signed the contract looked like this...

PG - Garland Judkins
SG - Kyle Fogg/Brendon Lavender
SF - Jamelle Horne
PF - DJ Shumpert
C - Alex Jacobsen

Nic had made up his mind to play in Europe, Zane was going to transfer regardless, and there were no recruits in the fold. That's one of the worst rosters in college basketball let alone a bad Pac-10, probably 0-18 or 1-17 bad. That's a worse situation than Sendek inherited at ASU as he at least had Pendergraph. Fast forward ten months later and while Arizona isn't good, they're at least competitive and are on an upward trajectory due to the amount of youth on the roster and top 100 commitments going forward.

both team's future's are significantly brighter than the other side wants to admit. Derrick Williams and Bejarano are gonna be a force for UofA. Trent Lockett, Ty Abbott, and Keala King (alone with Corey Hawkins) are gonna be a force for ASU. its gonna be a good rivalry.

I hate these kind of threads now, they are pointless because neither side can see the other side's point.(When it comes to ASU/UA)
