Credit Sean Miller for turning the University of Arizona basketball team into a classless, group of thugs. After a brutal flagrant foul by Kevin Parrom to Ty Abbott in the first game, Parrom decides to followup that display with an elbow into Derek Glasser's chest after the second game was over. Kevin Parrom should be suspended for the rest of the season!

Miller hired Book Richardson to be his main recruiter and he is going after the inter-city kids that have this thug mentality (Parrom, Momo Jones,etc.). It's disgusting! At least Lute could take pride in recruiting some classy kids (Kerr, Elliott, Lofton). Those days are over! They have decided that this will be the route they are going to take. Street ball has arrived in Tucson!

Lighten up Francis. Did you see the way Miller handled it? Cry somewhere else.

We will lighten up if Miller suspends Parrom, if not we won't.And some of your fans need to lighten up too.At the end of the video you can see a man ( Using the term lightly) in a blue dress shirt yelling "Your a bit*h,Your a bit*h" to Glasser as he is shaking hands with UA. Keepin it classy AU!

Good God, like ASU fans NEVER do that stuff.

It's a rivalry game. You won. Stop your crying.

Pot meet kettle. Look at your football coach and the kids he recruits, most notably Vontaze Burfict whose jerseys have no problem flying off the shelves in suddenly holier-than-thou Tempe. Hell, Herb Sendek has recruited a player in each of his last recruiting classes that was kicked off his high school team.

Parrom's an immature, dirty player but there's one on every winning basketball team including ASU.

Good lord, do you really want to get into this? The moral superiority theory amongst rivals is one of the dumbest things in sports. Stupid people do stupid things and it's ratcheted up during a rivalry game.

As Asufans, we might not want to go here. :Steve kerr:

That issue was a long time ago and I agree was absolutely deplorable! I was standing maybe 30 feet from the 3 student morons that were saying that stuff to Kerr. My friends in that section of the arena told them to shut up. That was in no way representative of the ASU fan base. We were appalled at that behavior.

In regards to Parrom, this is the fourth dirty incident that he has initiated. The first was the flagrant foul to Abbott, then the foul to Poindexter of UW, then the foul at Oregon State (not sure of the players name), and now the elbow to Glasser after the game had ended. When is it going to stop? When someone gets seriously injured?

The blame for this behavoir needs to fall on Miller for looking the other way. The UA fans surely can't condone this behavior, can you?

Nobody's going to get hurt, Parrom's a physical and dirty player which isn't ideal but in the end necessary if you want to win games. Every great basketball team has an enforcer of some kind.

Truth.

Didn't Burfict punch a guy after the UofA game in November? Oh, wait, nothing came from that?

Funny how that works.

Burfict was guilty of several hot-headed reactions on the field, some for which he wasn't flagged.

I'm an ASU fan I'm here to say this thread is hypocritical.

It's a rivalry game, crap like that happens often. There's always a moron who can't control their emotions and it goes both ways. However, what Parrom did is exactly what you'd expect out of a kid who got kicked out of high school for punching his coach, made a complete ass out of himself at Oregon St and at Washington, and threw a couple cheap shots at two different Devils. I guess that's why I'm never surprised when thugs like Parrom act the way they do.

If Parrom would have punched Glasser in the face then I'd be singing a far different tune. At the end of the day, Parrom's cheap shot on Glasser yesterday was minimal (I thought his intentional foul on Abbot was much more cheap and dangerous). Parrom is the one who has embarrassed himself and his university throughout the course of the season and the fact remains that he's an awful basketball player.

I have no idea why Burfict was even brought into this.

Kind of like when ASU fans were heckling Lute when his wife died.

Or when Steve Kerr's dad died and ASU fans were ragging on him.

ASU is the poster child of classlessness.

Further, did you also play Auburn last night in a double header? Yeah, that AU **** makes you look either dyslexic or moronic. And creative is not an option.

no. he didn't

Yes he did. Here is the article:
http://www.eastvalleytribune.com/story/147767

As for Parrom I don't believe he is dirty. He plays physical basketball. If you don't like it then beat him, which is what ASU did. This is a rivalry game, everyone gets jacked up for it. Basketball is a physical game, you are going to get hit. Could Parrom tone it down a little, sure, but that isn't his game. Every team has players like him. People are letting their rose-colored glasses get in the way of what is really happening. If he is truly a dirty player he is going to get what comes to him via suspension or retribution.

Funny how some things are forgotten or looked over depending on what side you are on.

Funny how I sat on the upper west side on the 35yd line and watched the whole thing. That Rat POS run right up to him from behind and taunt his ass from 30+ yards away. If Vontaz wanted to hit him he would have and that bench warmer whimped out like a liberal when he saw it coming. That is totally different than cheap shotting players during a play.

Burfict was brought into the conversation to illustrate the myopia of fans like hoopsnut, who want to tar and feather the opponent for the same behavior they're applauding their own team for. He's a homer, when he acknowledges and criticizes his own program's bad seeds then maybe should he be able to cast stones.

And Parrom will be at least an HM All-Conference player by the time he's done at Arizona. Dirty or not, he's considerably better than any of ASU's freshmen not named Trent Lockett and if he keeps his head on straight will be a very good college player with a borderline NBA prospect.

A punch is a punch just like a cheap shot is a cheap shot. Neither should ever happen, but to try to give a reason for why one is OK and another not is pure homerism.

Whatever floats your boat.

Burfict's Punch Was a Fakeout and Didn't Connect

First, Zendejas one other player and trainers ran Burfict down on his way to the locker room. When Zendejas tapped him on the sholder, he turned and threw a fake punch. It did not connect.

See second to last line of story: "The punch missed."
