Long time Phoenician!
And, hey, we've scored a run in the 8th. It's a 1-run game with runners on 1st and 3rd and two outs. And Descalso to pinch hit.
Or stop with the "HA HA I called it" remarks. That is glee+. We are all frustrated with the offense.
Barefoot has been so clutch, just not this time. And the tying and lead runs are left on base.
and still in the game.Dbacks have struck out 12 times so far.
No, it's not. The D-backs hitters have to deal with the humidor 81 times a season.I don't like it. I would have left well enough alone. But in the end, it is the same for everyone.
But so have the opposing teams. No, it's not. The D-backs hitters have to deal with the humidor 81 times a season.
I don't think it's the same. No other teams' hitters have to deal with it in half their games. But so have the opposing teams.
Yes the hitters from opposing teams in Colorado do benefit. The total games played with the humidor are the same. The setting is the same for all. Our lack of production runs much deeper than the humidor.I don't think it's the same. No other teams' hitters have to deal with it in half their games.
Just as opposing teams' hitters don't benefit as much as the Rockies, who are accustomed to Denver's mile high thin air. Psychology plays a role.
I absolutely agree with you. I've been criticized here for theorizing that "lift" (popups and strikeouts) -- every hitter thinking he's Ted Williams -- is the cause. This is the National League but there is no strategy by management.Yes the hitters from opposing teams in Colorado do benefit. The total games played with the humidor are the same.
