Really? I think hed be a very solid acquisition. Hes solid against the run, but isnt very good in coverage.

edit: My bad, I was thinking of DE Patrick Kearney.

I wouldnt mind Brooking.

He is a 5 time Pro Bowler if I remember correctly I expect hm to be solid ;). He's up there in age though.

These great players don't all get released just for money reasons. There is usually a large drop-off and/or steady decline in their performance.

If he expects to be a starter here, no I don't want him. Frankly, I have not watched Atlanta much so I can't fairly judge him.

I don't know about this. My in-law is a huge Falcon's fan and Brooking was the bane of their fanbase this season. They were all hoping he would have retired before this year. On paper he has solid numbers, but apparently he's lost a few steps.

On a one year deal for some depth and leadership, I wouldn't mind this guy. He is one of the smartest linebackers in the league
