Krang, what do you have against Kasper? When given the chance last year he performed very well. He was the go to go on 3rd. downs and when we got close to the goal line (3 TD's). He hasn't had a chance to perform this year so why are you so sure he couldn't have helped this team?
His performance last year was far from stellar. He was basically the only target we had out there at times and he managed to catch around 3 or 4 passes a game.
As for his lack of chances, the coach staff doesn't think much of him. I don't either, it's my opinion, and I highly doubt that he could've helped us one bit
Kasper's numbers last year:
13 games, 4 starts, 15 catches, 180 yards, 12.0 ypc, 24 long,
3 tds.
Bryant Johnson's numbers this year:
11 games, 5 starts, 28 catches, 328 yards, 11.6 ypc, 54 long, 1 td.
Not much of a difference, just imagine if Bryant was a little more polished. Bryant needs to play to fully reach his potential.

As far as Bryant Johnson having potential, how many passes have bounced out of his hands and into the opponents hands for a interception? He has had 1 decent game, but has had major drops in all the games he's played in.
Drops are correctable, and tend to be a problem with rookie wideouts, especially raw ones like Bryant. I have no idea the exact number of drops he has...5 or 6. Fans tend to exaggerate on the number that any given receiver drops. Boston dropped 12 last year.

Potential don't mean **** when you're trying to win if you're not playing up to that potential and he has yet to do that. To tell you the truth, if he doesn't start catching more balls, he will be another first round bust. I know, I know, it's only his first year and it takes longer than that to develope and don't compare him to Boldin who is an execeptional player. But why play a guy who can't catch regardless of how much talent he has when you have a guy sitting on the bench with sure hands and a knack for getting open? Does this coaching staff not care whether it wins or looses?
Why play a young receiver? What do you want him to sit on the bench so that Kasper can play? Kasper averaged exactly 3.75 catches per game last year. That's not very good for a starting WR in the NFL. Which makes me wonder...does he really get open, or is this a case of the "backup QB syndrome"?
And the coaching staff DOES care about winning. It took an order from Graves to make Mac play McCown.
