Charlotte is very shallow at the point guard spot. Banks would be a great spell for Felton, and give them a young PG to mature along with Wallace, Okafor and Morrison. Herrmann's playtime in Charlotte seems to be more confusing than Banks here, as he will have an awesome game one day and not play but 5 minutes the next. The guy can slash beautifully and is great at the 3, especially for 6'9. With Adam Morrison expected to play more and more minutes this season, Hermmann is a bit redundant for them imo. I think he would be great at the 4 for us, as he can run well, hit the 3 great, and has the size to spell marion at PF for the little amount of minutes Marion will sit out. We save an asston of money and gain a great bench player.
The trade works now, but not sure what summer FAs the Bobcats will pick up. They have 14 players under contract right now so I doubt they will be adding any of their summer prospects. Charlotte can take on Bank's contract and still be under the cap, but they may be hesitant on taking him on with an okafor extension in their future. With Sean May out, it's another iffy situation to let Herrmann go. However I think a solid backup PG is definitely something they'd consider. Cash considerations and Portland's 2nd round pick could put it over the top to get it done.
For the Suns it would be nothing but good.
