I think larry brown would be a good coach for your team. He would bring a defensive mindset.

The problem with Larry Brown is that the second you sign him to a deal, the "I want to retire of move to another team" count down clock begins. That guy is more transient then a hooker without her own street corner.

Barbosa is a great player, better than anyone wearing a Spurs uniform tonight for sure. If the refs weren't so blatantly biased the Suns win by a dozen.
Thats the best example of sarcasm in this thread. Well done.

But seriously, anyone else felt like punching Barbosa on the back of the head every time he gambles for steal then chuck a bad shot?

No?... okay, maybe I need some anger management.

I want to punch D'Antoni for not pulling him out of the game.

imo barbs has become the bigger disappointment than diaw. and diaw is a tremendous disappointment. the success of our entire team is predicated on those two and let's face it . . . their inconsistency and lack of mental toughness means they suck, particularly in the face of the spurs. we have a lot of problems (amare's defense, persistent foul trouble and general stupidity, dantoni's coaching and philosophical gaffs, hill's inability to stay healthy, nash's newfound penchance for maddening turnovers at seeming the most inopportune moments possible, shaq's FT%, raja's decreasing effectiveness at both ends of the court, crap there's a lot of these, our inability to close out halves or games, the fact that our leader (nash) - whom we all believe to be brilliant - can say with an honest face "i don't think we played smart," the fact that anyone on our team can say "we lost intensity" at any point during the playoffs against the spurs, our owner's penny pinching moves that cost us kurt thomas - a player whose absence hurts our team and whose presence helps our rival's team), but the biggest problems are diaw and barbosa. right now the only player i have any confidence in to play within his role and to bring consistency night in and night out is . . . giricek. i can't believe i am at that point. we have no bench beyond giri. barbs has shown he is a soft shell of his former self. i no longer give ANY credence to the "elbow" (or was it shoulder?) excuse of last season's spurs series . . . the dude is weakminded. as much as he regressed this year (and make no mistake - he took three GIANT steps backward) he's a nonentity against the spurs - no, make that he's a LIABILITY against the spurs. he might as well be on their payroll. part of that can be attributed to the spurs, but more likely it's because of the soft (and i do mean SOFT) tissue between his ears. and diaw . . . bah.

Ouchie, I agree with most of that. One question we should all ask ourselves, what two players owe the most to D'Antoni and have failed to pay him back... but he keeps getting clowned by them? Yep, Barbs and Diaw. This is worse that the hunter taking his deaf/blind dog into the field hoping for a better day, everyday.
Let D'Antoni GO!

barbosa could be our enforcer. since he doesnt contribute on D or the offensive end.

he can charge into somone while "driving" out of control, on the defensive end.
slams into parker.
parkers upset.
the spurs bench jump onto the court.

nahh, it'll never happen.

The suns arent running much anymore, and I think this really limits LB's effectiveness, he's not much of a half court player. The atl pick and LB will NOT get you calderon, but LB would be more effective on the raps, as they run alot more than the suns. I'd trade LB for anthony parker, straight up(wishful thinking). Lets face it, the spurs ran the suns off the floor 23-4 fastbreak points in the last game.

Hypothetical, if D'Antoni is fired, some team will surely pick him up as the HC, he will also likely have some influence on the organization, and I am sure he will want some of his guys on that team. That would actually probably be the best chance the Suns would have of moving Diaw/or Barbosa.

BC started all this running stuff, trade LB to the raps for anthony parker. Parker can hit the outside shot and defend well.

BC also saw that he needed guys who could defend as well after one season, bringing in Bell and KT.

Building off this point, it is highly unlikely that the Suns won't be a team that runs in the future, after this run is over, I am sure Sarver will want a young and fun running team that sucks over a slow big team that sucks.

just so we are clear, my opinion HAS NOT changed on barbs, someone called it a few days ago....something to the affect of "watch, barbosa will go out and have a huge night when it means nothing to us"
