He didn't push him. Slow motion replays shows that Nash tripped on his own feet and fell. That's why McGrady got nothing.

So not true. I have watched it several times. Nash appears to be on the way down, however, T-Mac clearly shoves Nash on the way down.

Just because Nash was on the way down doesn't absolve T-Mac from the shove. Again, if physial contact was the measuring stick then T-Mac and Shaq should have been suspended as well. As soon as they let Shaq and T-Mac get a pass, Nash should have as well.

Freaking rediculous.

agreed.

what's even more surprising to me is that Shaq didn't get suspended. He threw McGrady halfway across the court with his shove in the back but of course no one wants to talk about that because it's screws up the "Stern's a dictator/hates the suns/should resign" mantra that's so popular here.

We definitely got away with not losing Shaq as well. I hate Stern as much as anyone else but our team made this mess.

Well I feel T-Mac was just as lucky. If Nash wasn't already on the way down then that shove would have looked worse then it did.

It's sort of like throwing a punch and missing. Clearly T-Mac intended to shove Nash whether he was on his way down or not. I personally feel he did make contact with Nash on the way down.

Really Barne's laid in a cheap shot with started this entire thing so from that stand point I can agree we instigated this.

I am no fan of powerful players unions (like in baseball) but my gosh the NBA players Union seems to be the most passive out of all 3 sports. I agree....the Player Union needs to step up more often.

Is it me or is David Stern becoming more dictator like every single year?

Shaq deserved a suspension. Nash I think deserved a fine but no suspension. I wouldn't be surprised if he appeals it.

I agree that the "pity us" act gets tired after a while but I still think Stern needs to go.

Nobody should have gotten suspended but Alston. He is the only one that threw a punch. What a panty waste league.

If it were up to me, I wouldn't even have suspended Alston. Fines are fine. Save suspensions for when punches connect.

That's insane how some of you are saying Nash just tripped. If you've taken physics you'll see by the replay that unnecessary force was placed upon Nash falling by tracy mcBrady.

Yeah the insanity of ESPN, ESPN Radio, and the NBA League. He tripped and fell. That's the fact.

He did make contact with him. It is how he got that nasty bruise on his neck that needed attention.

So as long as you trip and fall, someone is allowed to push you to the floor? I mean, I guess so since Shaq did the same thing.

Even Al McCoy said Nash tripped on his own feet the day after the incident. Same with the Suns post game show. Same with Kerr. The initial tape makes it look like McGrady did the push, but when slowed down and looking at Nash, it's pretty clear what happened.

I have HD FSN recorded, it is very clear that McGrady shoves Nash down hard, he could be slipping too. The videos on youtube are not from that so it isn't so clear.

Why Nash runs in and grabs someone from the Rockets I don't know because Yao moved the trouble maker aside from Barnes already when Nashty got involved.
Stern is a rediculous jack arse though. Overreactive moron.

NBA and NFL are going DOWNHILL.

NBA suspends players for nothing and has terrible calls and questionable officiating.
NFL is turning into two hand touch adn fines players for celebrating and hitting.

Why did Nash approached the rockets so aggressively anyway, was it because he was throwing up bricks the whole night. it is so unlike Nash. Although i feel he doesn't deserve a suspension, it might just do him some good.

He started the fight. Pretty clear on replay. This is why that entire thing was so stupid. We get suspensions right at the hard part of our November schedule.
Yeah playing the next two games against the Kings & the Pistons w/out Nash & Barnes is going to prove to be a critical error in judgment for a guy like Matt Barnes for getting physical against a western conference powerhouse rival. That was so dumb and it's gonna cost us. :sarcasm:

Stern needs to resign. I am sorry the guy is just freaking pathetic. Nash in no way shape or form deserved a suspension.

Barnes....I get it. Alston I get it. However, Nash didn't deserve it. In fact, I would say that Shaq and T-Mac were more likely to get suspended because they pushed other players to the ground.

Makes no F$!$@!#$! sense. If they made the decision not to suspend Shaq or T-Mac then Nash sure as hell should not have been suspended. Total BS by Stern and the league.
Ditto. Typical Stern overreaction.

IMO, the reason Shaq doesn't get suspended is because he was randomly throwing players like rag dolls out of the fray. Shaq is incredibly strong and shouldn't be punished for his strength. I think this is why he was not suspended.

On another note, can the Suns bring in another player on a ten day contract? Perhaps the Suns could take a peek at a player of interest.

Agreed. Maybe this will be more of a blessing, it will clear his head and get the team refocused on their roles.

I expect Amare to step up tonight and get atleast 40 pts. His mouth is starting to get too loud.

I must say i agree but these are the days of conservative's in power overreacting to whatever the media deems is justified based on the reputation's of those involved(instead of the facts and the reality of the situation)......it sucks.

This could be true as I believe the Suns chemistry is out of rhythm. Giving Dragic expanded playing time where he might feel forced to be aggressive just might be what the doctor ordered.

However, without Nash, Barnes and LB, I am not looking for a victory tonight. Also, I would like to get a better look at Singletary. He has not shown me much thus far.

It's mind-blowing to me that McGrady got nothing, but I agree that O'Neal should have been penalized too.

In any case, a suspension for Nash seems awfully harsh. My guess is that he's starting to get fed up with this league. Back when he was the reigning MVP, he still couldn't get a call in the playoffs; the Spurs advanced by bludgeoning him into the scorer's table; and now he gets suspended for losing his cool no worse than dozens of other players do every night. If I'm Nash, I'm starting to think, "I'm screwing up my back permanently for this? Really? The hell with it."
