FARMERSVILLE — Sherman downed the Greenville Lions 10-2 in a District 9-5A baseball game that was moved to Farmersville because of wet conditions.
The game was scheduled for Tuesday night in Greenville but was postponed due to lightning.
Francisco Rosales led Sherman with four hits, three runs and two runs batted in.
Collin Macon rang up two hits and Charles Cernero drove in two runs.
Carter led the Lions with two hits. Bryce Samples doubled and drove in both runs. Easton Slagle and Daymien Bankston singled and scored. Caden Musil, Caleb Yost and Jamorian Hamilton also had hits for the Lions.
Easton Slagle, Kasey Porsberg and Ethan Kiowski shared pitching duties for the Lions and combined for seven strikeouts.
The Lions dropped to 10-10 for the season and 1-4 in district play.
Royse City 5
Tyler Legacy 4
TYLER — Royse City slipped past Tyler Legacy 5-4 in eight innings to go 4-1 in District 10-6A baseball.
Royse City managed only one hit by Alex Nevarez, who drove in three runs. The Bulldogs took advantage of 10 walks and a Legacy fielding error. Regan Williams scored two runs for the Bulldogs.
Peyton Peoples, Williams and Cohen Kepner shared pitching duties for Royse City, combining for seven strikeouts.
Garner McKinney and Payne Hotman led Legacy with two hits each.

ROYSE CITY — Royse City scored seven runs in the fourth inning on the way to a 15-5 District 10-6A softball victory over Longview.
Bri Duffey, Lacey Hicks and Ryleigh Hewlett all pounded three hits to lead the Lady Bulldogs at the plate. Hicks scored three runs. Duffey, who doubled twice, drove in five runs. Hewlett, who also doubled, drove in three runs and scored two runs.
Royse City pitcher Abby Mangrum went the distance on the mound, allowing four hits, five earned runs and one walk with 10 strikeouts.
Caddo Mills 6
Farmersville 0
CADDO MILLS — Caddo Mills pitchers Talon McIntosh and Tyler Wilson limited Farmersville to only two hits in a 6-0 District 13-4A baseball victory.
McIntosh allowed one hit and one walk in four innings with five strikeouts.
Wilson gave up one hit and two walks with four strikeouts in three innings.
Luke Westmoreland led the Caddo Mills hitters with three runs batted in. Wade Bowen doubled and scored two runs. Bobby Barrow also had a hit for Caddo Mills, which improved to 3-1 in district play.
Jahir Vanegas and Mason Erwin had Farmersville’s two hits.
Quinlan Ford girls 5

QUINLAN — Payton Perez fired a five-hitter as Quinlan Ford rolled to a 5-1 District 13-4A softball victory over Caddo Mills.
Perez allowed two walks and struck out eight.
Lillian Barraza doubled and tripled to lead Ford at the plate. Perez, Barraza, Carlie Mabe, Jordyn Neustupa and Bailey McAlpin scored runs for Ford.
Kyleigh Bentley doubled and scored for Caddo Mills.
Lone Oak 8
Commerce 7
COMMERCE — Lone Oak outlasted Commerce 8-7 in eight innings of District 12-3A baseball.
Cason McBride and Riley Rolen both pounded two hits, including doubles, to lead Lone Oak at the plate. McBride scored three runs and Rolen drove in three runs.
Eli Black doubled twice to lead Commerce and Brayden Romans drove in two runs. Black scored two runs, as did Jordan McMurray.

COMMERCE — Lone Oak rolled to a 14-2 District 12-3A softball victory over Commerce.
Lone Oak pitchers Rylie Rakowska and Kenzie Shinn combined to limit Commerce to only two hits. Rakowska struck out six in three innings.
Braxtyn Gore homered and doubled to lead Lone Oak at the plate. Rainey Patterson, Charleigh Williams and Kenzie Shinn all doubled. Roo Carson also pounded three hits.
Lauryn Bailey homered and drove in two runs to lead Commerce. Kaleigh Robrecht also had a hit.
Sulphur Bluff 10
Bland 9
MERIT — A rally in the seventh ended up one run short as Bland lost 10-9 to Sulphur Bluff in District 12-2A baseball.
Blaine Hargrove and Matthew LeBlanc doubled to lead Bland at the plate. Both players recorded two hits, as did teammate Blaine Hargrove, who scored three runs.
Sulphur Bluff pitcher Trey Tully allowed eight hits and four earned runs in 6 1/3 innings with 12 strikeouts.

MERIT — Sadie Soto pitched a perfect game for three innings and scored three runs as Bland shut out Sulphur Bluff 24-0 in District 12-2A softball.
Soto struck out six and was 2-for-2 at the plate with a double.
Brookelynn Boren-Floyd doubled twice for Bland and scored four runs. Natalyn Luper scored three runs and Zoey Lawson, Peyton Neesmith, Zoe Wilson and Makila Watson all scored two runs.

COOPER — Cooper scored five runs in the sixth inning to seal a 10-3 District 12-2A baseball win over Celeste.
Jaret Slakey homered and drove in two runs to lead Cooper at the plate. Slakey also struck out 12 in six innings and reliever Jace Meeks fanned three in one inning.
Gavin McDaniel led Celeste with three hits and Brock Stewart added two hits.

COOPER — Morgan Nickell homered twice and drove in five runs as Celeste banked Cooper 15-0 in District 12-2A softball.
MaddieClaire Park scored a team-high four runs for Celeste.
Nickell, Jada Garcia, Emily McDaniel and Ollie Haakantu scored two runs each for Celeste.

WOLFE CITY — North Hopkins stayed undefeated in District 12-2A baseball at 5-0 with a 5-1 win over Wolfe City.
Wolfe City pitcher Noah Adams allowed three hits and no earned runs in six innings with 10 strikeouts.
Adams also pounded two hits and Ethan Young had the other hit for the Wolves

WOLFE CITY — Wolfe City opened up a 5-0 lead in the first inning and held on for a 7-3 District 12-2A softball win over North Hopkins.
Alyssa Guiette and Joleigh Laverty both managed two hits for Wolfe City and Laverty drove in two runs. Guiette and Lyric Sandlin both scored two runs.
Evie Samples went the distance on the mound for Wolfe City, allowing seven hits and no earned runs.

CUMBY — Hawkins pitcher Riggin Smith no-hit Cumby in three innings during the Hawks’ 16-0 District 18-2A baseball victory.
Smith walked two and struck out four.
Trevin Tanner led Hawkins with four runs batted in.

CUMBY — Hawkins rallied from a 2-0 deficit to beat Cumby 7-2 in District 17-2A softball.
Ella Horne led Cumby with three hits. Jenna Elmore had two hits and Kinslee Dowdle doubled.

SALTILLO — Campbell junior right-hander Drake Sweeney struck out a season-high 18 during the Indians’ 10-3 District 12-2A baseball victory over Saltillo.
Sweeney allowed four hits and two earned runs with no walks in seven innings. Of his 96 pitches, 74 were strikes.
He’s now struck out 55 batters in five games.
Blake Manning drove in two runs to lead Campbell.
