So my guess is that it will look like this:

CF Eaton
2nd Hill
1B Goldschmidt
C Montero
LF Kubel
3B Prado
RF Ross
SS Didi
P

It is actually not a bad lineup.

I would split up the lefties in the 3-4-5 slots and bat Goldschmidt cleanup.

BTW, don't you expect Parra to be back in the starting lineup?

Gibson was quoted as saying that he expects each of his top outfielders -- Jason Kubel, newcomer Cody Ross, rookie Adam Eaton and Gerardo Parra -- each getting at least 400 at-bats.

Although I don't prefer a situation where players come to the park each day not knowing whether they are starting or coming off the bench, it is Gibson's preference and will obviously prevail as long as he is here.

Prado seems like an ideal 2 hitter. Maybe move everyone else down a slot?

I like Eaton better as a true leadoff but I expect Parra to play frequently as the 4th outfielder.

You might be right, but considering 3 of them are left handed batters could make things a little more predictable. I would expect those 3 to be starting on most occasions against right handed pitchers.

Forgot the name, but there was an analyst on Bickley/MJ saying Prado would be in the 2 spot.

Prado will be in the #2 slot over Hill. Prado is one of the best contact hitters in the game. He is considered one of the toughest outs in the league.
But yes, not a bad lineup at all... The issue will be power. Kubel will be a very, very key hitter for this team. He completely collapsed in the 2nd half last year. Let's hope not what is to come this season.

Yeah, hard to expect guys like Hill to hit HR's like he has, but we should have a pretty balanced lineup with a lot of guys who can hit 20-30 hrs.

Still disgusted that we gave up our only potential superstar.

True.

Heard Towers say that is why they want to have the rotation in the outfield. Kubel got wore out last year and the rotation will allow him to stay fresh.
