Good episode last night, and I have a theory:

Helo is a Cylone.

Here are the two most compelling reasons to believe that:

#1 - He saved the Cylones by killing those in containment before they could be used to exterminate the race, and did it without coming into contact with them.

#2 - When everyone was released from Quarantine except Sharon Helo knew that humans were not suseptable to the sickness, yet he stayed outside of the quarentine area rather then go inside to comfort Sharon, he did this because he didn't know if Sharon was infected and thus he could have been exposed to the disease.

Excellent observations.

I will be keeping that in the forefront of my mind.

I wonder why no one is continuing the tests to see if people are Cylons or not?

I don't think so... At the end of the episode she did not get sick because of her half human child. IIRC Chief can't be the father due to the timeline.

Unless, similiar to transfering the sickness Sharon/Boomer could have transferred/downloaded the pregnancy! Then while Boomer was banging Helo she was already prego's!!

MMMMmmm..... could be.....

Helo isn't a Cylon. They sent Athena after him so the Cylons could have a human/Cylon combination baby, if you'll recall.

Helo is, however, an idealistic moron who should be killed, by rights, as a traitor to humanity. Because political ramifications probably will not allow for that, he should be forced to quietly resign his commission and leave the Gallactica forever.

If that were the case then you would have to say the same thing about Adm. Adama. He agreed with Helo and he also protected him from a tribunal.

Um, no, wrong. Adama made a concession to the fact that it would be a horrific act and made the pres order him to do it, thus covering his ass. If Adama would have agreed with Helo, it wouldn't have happened. He's shown time and again if he is dead set against something, he won't do it unless convinced it had to be done. It read to me as if he didn't like it one bit, but saw the necessity.

As for the protection from tribunal? It can be any of a number of things, from Helo's past loyalty and service to a feeling of wiping the slate clean, but I think my friend nailed it. It would be an absolute political catastrophe if Helo's action came to light, and Adama and Roslyn want to avoid it. He's not just a soldier, is Adama, but an Admiral and a politician too.

Adama did CYA but he also didn't butt in while Helo was voicing his opinion to Pres. Roslin. I think Adama would have told him to stand down if he felt genocide was a path worth taking.

Maybe 'agreed' was to strong of a word.

Tonight should be quite the interesting episode. How will the Baltar story line progress? What will Adama's next step be? Will anyone else find out what Helo did? Will people blame Athena for the deed? Tune in tonight!

I think Adama will know it's Helo...but no idea what he'll do about it.

I hope this doesn't hurt its ratings. IIRC BSG encored on Sunday night any ways. Maybe SciFi figured most people were watching it on Sundays.

Just a filler episode, but fun nonetheless. I like how the old man stepped it up and busted everyone's asse by taking a beating. Starbuck and Apollo? Well, we knew that had to happen at some point. The question is, have the old man and Roslyn gotten it on? I think they did that night on New Caprica, but that's just my opinion.

I thought it was a great episode...I for some reason liked the boxing.

But the backstories were awesome. Kara and Lee really made you understand their hatred for each other, or distain, especially when Kara asked for medicine when they were on the planet.

And maybe why he let himself go so much. He just didn't care.

I also liked how Adama let himself get trashed as punishment for his getting soft...a good moment.

Wow, what a cliff hanger for a final episode.

Baltar is living the High Life right now. He is basically a sex slave to two hotties.

I'm in luck. All of Season 3 (up to that point) is being shown on SciFi on January 15. Thank goodness for the DVR.

Nah, remember, he and the Lucy Lawless character dumped Caprica 6...stupid!

*Spoiler*

I really HATE what they did with the preview of the new episode. I mean, they leave us on this wonderful cliffhanger, and basically give away part of it with the preview...ugh!
