Arizona Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt said RB Beanie Wells (knee) is not fully recovered from his knee injury and the team will monitor him this week during practice, reports AZCardinals.com's Darren Urban.

? Dude, I know I do not have any weight around here, Hightower played better because of Wells. Beanie had everybody afraid of our run in the RED ZONE and that allowed our passing game to open back up. Give this guy all the rest he needs,(like Wiz did in the pre season) I don't think the knee is a problem, we would be talking about the Parker pick up that I am glad didn't happen.

I/m/o it's foolish to think we'll beat the Rams easily, this week. First, the game is on the road. Second, DA at QB is a BIG, BIG question mark. Third, re-read #1 and #2.

I'm actually not surprised, if you remember the play after the injury happened he literally could barely walk, he made a half hearted attempt at blocking someone and then was hopping around on one leg.

I picked him as my 2nd RB in my fantasy draft last night but I did so assuming he might not be totally healthy at the start of the year. I think the Cards will probably do what they did last year slowly bring up Beanie's carries as he gets healthy.

From the looks of the play the guy basically whacked him in the back of the knee when he tripped him up so seemed more like a contusion than anything else?

I don't know about 100% but it was reported this morning that Larry took "full part" in practice yesterday. Had a smaller brace on his knee. (He also tweeted that he flew back to Minnesotta for the state fair over the weekend. I'm trusting that he wouldn't have done that if things aren't progressing well.)

Beanie said after the game that his injury was nothing serious and he could have gone back in if it had been a regular season game. So, I was surprised at the most recent report.

My neighbor saw him at Ashley Furniture this weekend. He said his knee was wrapped up.

He Also said that Beanie was there with two other guys (His brothers I'm guessing?) who didn't help a bit. They were texting the entire time. My neighbor said Beanie picked out some stuff and the guys with him didn't even help him carry any of it. They were just glued to their cell phones texting away.

Beanie'll be fine. I think that Derek Anderson against a CB corps that lacks even Division I talent should even be fine. We might see Max Hall for the first time in Week 1.

It'll be interesting to see what kind of intensity the Cards bring to St. Louis, though. You could depend on Warner being fired up against his old fans and team, but Warner's not here anymore. It's possible that the Cards come into this one a little bit entitled and get smacked in the mouth.

I said "possible," not "likely." The Rams are a bad, bad football team.

EDIT: The other thing was that Jason Wright did not look like he'd be ready to play anytime soon last Thursday. Limping around in a walking boot. We might see whether Timmy Hightower can be effective for 20+ carries against the Rams, because it doesn't look like there's going to be a lot to take the pressure off him.

I think the Rams will either be 1st or 2nd in our division. They I think are much improved this year. I sure had rather open against Seattle than the Rams. We will get a real idea of our QB come next week. Our QB play will decide if we win the division or not. I feel good about Anderson and Hall. Anderson has been there before and has great wide-outs to throw to. We are still a passing team where Whiz likes it or not. That is our strength. We should be better on defense and I just do not know about the offensive line. This team could be really good or just so so. A win over the Rams away would be one heck of a start and quiet the board down. All of us are almost psychotic at this point. Leinart and Jake are gone. Here me they are gone.

Save one drive where TH looked great our best RB's have all looked pretty mediocre in preseason. I'm hoping the problem is just vanilla schemes because our OL was terrible run blocking this preseason.

The bad thing for Beanie is the play he got hurt on was probably the best chance he had all preseason to bust off an impressive run, the guy just barely was able to get a hand on him but apparently hit him in the back of the knee and caused the injury(presumably when Beanie lost his footing and fell he tweaked it).

I saw enough last year to be pretty confident Beanie has the talent, he's got to stay healthy, and hang on to the ball.

Beanie had 33 more carries than TH did last season despite the slow start. Add in Warner gone and us more likely to run the ball more and I would expect Beanie to get more carries, assuming he does his job. Last year he was limited by missing camp time and the injury, and then simply not being as good in pass pro and catching the ball as TH was. With Kurt at QB that stuff was crucial because we were going to throw the ball a ton.

Beanie has to hang onto the football and if he does that I think he'll be a terrific RB this year, assuming the OL gels and opens some holes.

Hightower stepped up his game (his all around game) when Beanie came in.

Beanie was dangerous in the red zone, giving us good production.
