I hate doing it, I hated the years when they were the team, but no sence in longshotting out of fanhood. I don't usually drop bets unless it's for a small amount with a crazy pay off but they never pay off. ;)

This thread is very football related, more so than a gambling thread because we are talking about betting on the enemy, financially benefiting from Cardinal misfortune. But them early superbowl typically pay off pretty well, I think Freako has like 6/1 odds right now (from a non-betting football site SBnation). I don't even know of, or use a Gambling site, but please don't PM me (It's full). I might just make it a Veygoose trip, or get a hold of someone like the Shaner for a good place.

The whiners got Boldin, and that is golden as one team just found out, and they were already fine and dandy when it came to hands. The Krapper will probably be a top 5 QB, mix in Harbaugh's smarts, the awesom O-line, improved rushing attack. On D they just picked up Reid and Carradine in the draft, and Lord knows who else in Free Agency.

Anything can happen in the playoffs, but these guys have a broke hippie willing to throw $250 out the wrong window. The Chickens will be good but even they are out matched by the whiney talent on the field, and already out smarted when it comes to Harbaugh>Petey. Maybe I'll just bet on the NFC champs...I don't know.

I've been saying it for a while now. SF is the best team in the NFL. By a decent margin I believe. I hate saying it, and hate even more knowing it

Are the odds really better to win the Super Bowl than an NFC West/NFC Champion parlay?

At this point in the year, betting on the Super Bowl champ seems like a sucker's bet. I guess San Fran is +650.

Green Bay is +1200 and the Giants are +2500. If I'm going to throw money away, I'd take either of those teams.

If I had to risk everything I'd put it on SF as well. The NFC is so much stronger than the AFC. I'd take SF, SEA and GB over anyone from the AFC.

I don't trust Denver for some reason...

I hit a super bowl bet one time (Green Bay). Waiting all year to cash in a ticket for 4x your money is vaguely unsatisfying...especially when you aren't a fan of that team. The first thing you hear is "Congrats on your team winning"

Personally after that I would rather just go for a hard 10 on the craps table for a 7-1 payout if I want a longshot.

Plus you would have to root for the 49ers in the playoffs.

I couldn't root for them if I had $10,000.00 riding on them.;)

I'd never bet on the Giants, they seem to blow it when they are "the team" I would put money on the Packers though if I was a betting man.

To me the dark horse bet would be the Bucs, their team is great, if they can just get Freeman to have a good season, like the one he had a couple seasons back, they might be an under the radar team to choose.

If I had to bet on the NFC West, I'd go Seahawks. I see Wilson having a more productive season than Kap. I still think Kap is a gimmick.

I bet AZ to win the nfc champs and to win the super bowl, $100 for each bet around new years before our run. Beating the eagles pauid me out 1500 (15-1) ad if we beat pitt it was 30-1, the "fumble" cost me a 3k prize :)

It's in the bag man, easy money. :D It will definitely be odd though, I've never played fantasy football because I could'nt see myself picking a whiner or cowgirl (and other teams that I almost hate as equally) to be on my squad, thus I would suck it.

But if I can turn around some robert de niro, I'm talking possible Cardinal tickets for your boy next year when we really start ballin.

I've counted them before they hatch (what could possibly go wrong), if I get over $1,250 from the evil empire's trip to the ring, I can put the original $250 back into the coffee can, and use the G-note to get busy during the off season. Maybe flip a car or something.

If not, between that frisco dough and the ASFN seats that pop up randomly (D-Wash's favorite word), I won't even have to buy the season joint. I can feast off of Craigslist, I expect the ticket values to actually hold value this year, for the first time in a while and next year they might even be harder to find. But the whiners will give me a headstart on 2014...book it yo!! :D

The whole idea feels bad.

SF will not only sweep us this year but they will and cost you money at the end as well.

If I HAD to bet the house I'd take Denver.

Don't ever ever ever bet against Peyton Manning.

unless it's in the playoffs...and he has HFA...where he's lost an unfathomable amount of times over the years.

Correct but that is betting on your own team. How happy would have been to collect on the Steelers to win the Super Bowl?

It was awesome and woulda been super awesome. Imagine the euphoria you felt at the stadium when we won the NFC championship and then tack on that you just won $1500. If the cardinals would have called me about face value super bowl tickets I would have bought them with the $1500.

That sure is not a way out pick. They should at least win the West. They not only are very very good but young. I see us losing both games to them and Seattle. I also see St Louis on the rise this year and they could win one game against SF or Seattle.
