Forget the westside, forget the eastside, The Central is the best! ;)

I love Venezia's as well. For me the best is Casanova Brothers in Gilbert is really really good pizza. Best NY style in town IMO. Chicago style, the only thing I've found that's decent is the Deep Dish at Oreganos but I dont try many Chicago styles.

PS You guys are snobs about Mesa! lol Yes the area around Main street is a dump but other than that there are many nice parts of Mesa just like every other city in the valley. There are million dollar homes in North Mesa in the orangegroves.

Having lived in both, I can attest they are! I win!

What did Glendale win, besides a future date as the first Arizona city to file for bankruptcy? Solvency beats an NFL stadium any day.

You make moves in life with risk.. You cant tell me Glendale is the only city in America hurting.. In the long run it will work.. Plus.. I live in on the Westside.. Swag up 100% just from that.. :p

My favorite part was Gee saying he drove through Mesa. Um, all 133 square miles of it? :D

Has anyone been to Mellow Mushroom, on Mill Ave.? I'm no expert on pizza, but I thought it was pretty good and they have some really interesting pizzas on their menu that I'll definitely be going back to try. It was a little pricey for me, $20 for a 10' pizza, iced tea, and a 20% tip, but overall I was pretty happy with it. I ordered the "Mighty Meaty" with pepperoni, sausage, bacon, ham, and ground beef.

South Scottsdale actually has to my WASPy tastes, some good EYE-TALON/PIZZA places:

(This list excludes Old Town places)

DeFalco's (Scottsdale and Oak)
Little Chicago (Hayden and Osborne)
Rome (McDowell and 82nd)
Lo Cascio's (technically just into Tempe)

Jon - if you REALLY, REALLY want true Italian pizza - the way it's actually cooked and served in Italy, you need to go to POMO. Otherwise, the places you reference are merely Americanized, bastardized versions...

You assume that is what I really really want, and that Americanized pizza isn't better ;)
