You realize that nobody is going to throw at PP ever, right? And so whoever is at CB opposite PP is going to get picked on? And it's a passing league now and all the rules give advantages to receivers because you can't lay a finger on the guy anymore?

Everyone complained about Powers, everyone complains about Bethel now. Unless we get another all-pro somehow, this is just how it's gonna be.

And the Hail Mary TD catch was over Peterson, for the record.

My only complaint: on the 4th down play, he kinda gave up on the WR. Why?

Did the d line get a sack at all today? No cb can continue to cover a wr if the qb has 10 mins to throw it.

Bethel's first time starting at CB and his baptism of fire has been the equivalent of being dropped in hell with Peterson funneling all the balls in his direction. Yes, he will get better after this season but it would help if the refs call holding on the OL and a stud like Rodgers is not able to have a decade to throw :)

He's a special teams guy and a first year corner. He's done fine. I don't expect him to be Deion Sanders,

Pretty tough to be a decent corner when the MVP QB has all day to throw.

Also he needs to trust his abilities more. He lets guys get open underneath because he is not driving on the ball being afraid of giving up the big play.

I think this might be the game plan.

I cant imagine that being the call when it's 3rd and 5 and you let the guy catch the ball for 20 yards right in your face.

I hear you but thats only one play.

He played well today. Considering he was the target of Aaron freaking Rodgers, he did well. Second time too. Rodgers is the best QB in football. Of course he's going to target any CB not named PP. The important thing, for him, is not to lose confidence going forward, and non of ya'll are helping with that. LOL. He was defending against the best QB in football, probably a HOF a QB.

Bro... No, just no. He played nowhere near well. Look at the first Hail Mary, he gave up on the play, literally. He stopped running then realized the play wasn't over and got burned bad.

He knows he has work to do, not like we are bringing anything to light.

Bethel will take a lot of flak this week. Some of it deserved, some of it not. To answer the question simply; No, at this point he is not ready for the role we have asked him to fill, but it's a big freaking role!

The reality of the situation is simply this; we lost a defensive player of the year front runner, one of the most versatile and intuitive defensive players in the game in the Honey Badger. That scarred the core of this defense and there's just going to be holes now. You cant just replace a guy like that, that's why he's so good.

Bethel is just the sacrificial lamb man. I mean seriously; hey dude, just go be Honey Badger. What's the big deal?

Sounds simple enough right? lol

I know it's next man up and all that but people just got to remember that this kid has a lot on his plate, and oh by the way Aaron Rogers is pretty good too. The alternative was throwing to PP21, and Arog saw how that worked out in the first half.

Hail Mary's dont count that's in God's hands. :p

Bethel played okay today. He made some good plays and covered his men fairly well. Yes, he looked bad on a few plays, but we say that about whoever our other CB is each week. Look at the score! When your D only gives up 20 points for the most part, then no one is playing that bad. He tightened up his coverage quite well when they got inside the red zone on us.

But, he goes to the pro bowl as a special teams player for a reason. I am glad we have him.

how he stopped playing D on the first hail mary on 4th and 20 is beyond me. That was just atrocious. You're an every down player now kid. Gotta play EVERY down, ESPECIALLY the biggest down in the game.

I'm excited to see Bethel's continued growth as a CB.

He quit on the 4th down hail mary because only AR can throw a ball that far. Seriously, he probably thought AR couldn't throw the ball over his head at that point.

The dude stopped running on the 4th and 20 and just stared at Janis while the ball was in the air....sad when he's having problems with GBs 5th WR who only caught 4 balls in his life before yesterday. If you can't man that dude up you need to seriously look in the mirror.
