Shane, there was a young fellow sitting in front of us tonight who was a cop. He was with 3 other young men (all Cardinal fans) who were all well mannered and courteous.

Whomever owns those seats must sell the tickets because there are different people in them for every game (usually fans of the opposing team). It was nice to have a pleasent game with no idiot fan from the other team loud mouthing and getting snot slinging drunk.

If you were a high school football player, wouldn't you rather play in a NFL stadium than a college stadium? And if you were a parent of that football player, wouldn't it thrill you to see your son playing in an NFL venue? I think kudos needs to go to the TSA for having the foresight to allow this.

No, it was funny how it happened. A gal sitting two rows in front of him (very good looking by the way) goosed a guy as he walked past her. The young fellow said that was illegal. My wife said it was okay as she was really a doctor and had just given him a prostate exam. Then she asked if it really was illegal and how he knew. He pulled out his badge and grinned. Since she was sitting next to the only Seahawk fan in our section, we all tried to convince him that the Seahawk fan was really the one who did it and he needed to arrest him.

Didn't work.

Holmgren's observation is dead on!

The most marked improvement in this team hands down is the offensive line. The commentators in the game, specially Barry Alvarez, mentioned it repeatedly on Sunday. He said he's seen dramatic improvement in the run blocking with the addition of Deuce Lutui. Someone mentioned that the line splits were invisible earlier in the season.

But the biggest improvement has to be at ROT where Reggie Wells is light years ahead of the revolving door that operated there earlier in the season. Oh what might have been, if he and Leckey had opened the season at their current positions. Wells basically took Fisher and Little out of the equation the past two games. One of the brightest things this front office did was matching his offer sheet from Buffalo IMO.

I think Bickley's point was that, why pay for a roof that will open but not use it on nice days and pay to have a rollout field for maintaining the grass field and still have it look lousy during a Cardinal game. They could have saved some money by going more conventional. He has a point. It's nice to have cutting edge technology but, in the end, if it doesn't accomplish what was intended, why do it?

Did anyone see Pittsburgh's field on THursday night? That was all dirt. I think they mentioned a bunch of games being played on it was the reason. The grass can only take so much. I'm sure it will be pristine again come National Championship game time. I forget, who is playing in that game come January 8th?

They were intervewing Michael Bidwill before the game, and he said that the Cards were proud to have hosted the HS championships. I say good for the Cardinals for doing this, as well.

But there's really no excuse not to have the roof open. It's silly not to open it.

Maybe they could open it at halftime or whenever the sun is low enough not effect the east upper bowl. If we played a 11:00 AM game I think it would be OK (never happen).

I'm not complaining about my seats, nor did I complain to the Cardinals. I simply said I was happy the roof closed yesterday. Evidently, alot of people are complaining so don't look for the roof to be open very often. The sun wasn't an issue for me a SDS and won't be at the new stadium. Some people may not like the fact that they published the "Sun Study" for the stadium after many had already selected their seats.

I believe that having the HS championship games at the TSA stadium was part of the plan from the beginning. It was even advertised as such prior to the election for the stadium approval.

I think that it is absolutely the right venue for the high school championship games. It's a big deal for the kids and it ought to be played in the best stadium available!

As a side comment: On the southwest end of the stadium on the large square pillar (one of four in the stadium) which anchors the roof truss they have pictures of previous high school championship teams. I think it is a nice tribute!

By the time I got to chose it was good seats on the west side or 10-20yd line seats [and I'm not a fan of endzone seating, each to their own]

Keep the roof open. I miss the TV shot of the solitary guy in the upper deck east side at SDS surrounded by 1000's of empty seats with his sun glasses, tanning lotion and solar reflector.
