All over NFL.com that Ben is very unhappy with what's going on in the steelers organization. Basically having no input on the offense and who's hired. People are saying he's gonna ask out this off season.

Just a rumor of course but would you take Ben at this stage in his career or do you want to go all in on someone in the draft. Fitz for Ben in a heartbeat I do that deal

No more trading for QBs, especially QBs who are injury prone and have significant character issues.

He can be injury prone but he can play through pain,,,last season played with high ankle sprain.could make this team a super bowl candidate.
Maybe someone suffer some strange disturb and doesnt want a winner qb
I want a winner and i dont mind if he is not a good model for the childrens

i'd take him in a heartbeat. this isn't a retread we're talking about. this is Hall Of Fame QB, still in his prime. we somehow make a deal for him that doesn't involved a first round pick, you could be looking at adding Big Ben and a first round LT and boom...this team is not only a legit playoff contender, but they're a bona-fide Super Bowl contender.

all that being said, this ain't happening.

No Way do we need a overpaid, almost over the hill QB. We have enough of those in the past.

Let's look to the future, not a part of the past.

Really comes down to how many years he's got left in the tank at a high level. It would really be just another stop gap QB until we have out qbotf. A much better one than we have right now though

NO. Enough of trying to find the next Warner by getting an old veteran or crossing our fingers with a QB drafted in the late rounds.

This is an AWESOME QB draft, and we need to draft that franchise maker early in the draft.

Plus, I think Big Ben has taken such beating over his career that he is actually "older" than he really is. He is declining and will continue to do so.

Take Roethlisberger, take him as soon as you can.

Give them Stanton, Lindley, Housler, and Ryan Williams. The only gamble is Williams may one day pull a Thomas Jones where he finally gets healthy and becomes an All-pro running back and can actually backup his prior boasts.

As for Housler, something tells me (his performances, his body of work) that guy will never ever approach the high level of play and production expected of top TEs like Tony Gonzales or Gronk. Its time to get something for him before everyone learns of his hands of stone as well as his inability to read defense coverages and when he become the hot receiver.

Roethlisberger to Fitzgerald!!! Now that sounds like a good mix.

Big Ben was a lousy human being and probably still is. At 31 yrs old he still has at least 5 years of quality play left in him. He is a perfect fit in BA's Offense and IMO would not be just another vet QB acquisition. Ben is far better than Palmer or Kolb or DA or etc.

Part of me wants us to get our home grown QB like Lomax and Plummer appeared to be but didn't pan out for different reasons. I will say that Warner not being home grown didn't diminish one iota the thrill of getting to the SB for me but Warner does not = Big Ben.

If I had the power to make the decision I wouldn't do it but I won't get outraged if it happens. Winning certainly does cure a lot of negatives and I would imagine I'd be pretty thrilled with getting to another SB even with Ben as the QB.

Let's just offer whatever it takes to get the QB we want in the draft, our record will not land us that opportunity. This is where the GM should be coming into play.

I'm not so sure he has 5 good years left. He has always played a very physical style and I have to believe it has and will continue to take it's toll. I'd look at his lifespan as a player to be more a cross of QB and RB then just strictly QB. As for whether he's an improved human being, I'm not convinced rape is one of those things you just get out of your system. No, he's never been convicted and there may be more to the story than we know but when there is that much smoke you'll almost always find a flame or two. I say pass, the risks are just too great.

Like I said I wouldn't do it myself and of course won't hope that it happens. If somehow BASK does do it would you stop rooting for the Cards? If not would the wins lose some luster for you?

To be clear I'm officially on the draft our QBOF in this years draft.

I'd set the odds of that happening at 50-50.

Key issue would have to be the number of quality years we'd expect to get from him. (Anything less than 3 years would be an iffy proposition).

Comparing Ben with CP, one special thing Roethlisberger brings to the table is that he can roll out and throw on the run. It would be an upgrade.

Maybe not but I'd have to rationalize quite a bit in order to stay a Cards fan. I don't think every player has to be an angel and in general I'm concerned with who they are when they're on the field, not who they are when they're away from the game. Still, I believe the guy is a serial rapist and I can't cheer for someone like that. I'd have to find a way to convince myself that all the incidents were overblown or that maybe he had an extreme alcohol problem or something like that and I'm just not sure I can rationalize that well. But I wouldn't rule it out, I've kidded myself into some pretty stupid decisions in my life.

Palmer has only been with us 8 games- now inpatients is fashionable in todays NFL, but dag nab it - we are only now ready to find at we have as a 2013 team. We are better than I expected - and if we run the ball and rest this great defense, we have a chance to be good ongoing.

We should have took Barkley when he fell in the draft - but we didn't. I'm not into Pig Pen- he is good but not Bill Bidwill "good" I think te old man still has some juice when ever he wants it- and Big Ben the Pig pen doesn't need anywhere near Arizona State University babes!

On a SMEL Note - I'm proud of you fan! This is just more proof that We are forged in the flames of adversity- one crappy season like Cardinal Fans have a lifetime of - and Steelers QB and fans turn on their team, their coach and turn into Chicken Little!

We have already ate, digested and crapped out more adversity than other cities fans could imagine!

I mean the Sun's ref playoff scandal, The Coyotes owned by the NHL BS, Ryan Braun busted for steroids prior to taking that game and playoff series away from rookie Goldstein, and Kurt Warner being target and retired by the Saints Bounty scandal!

No other State or City has ever endured these cheating bass turds in all sports- I hope the rest of the world pukes on it!

SMEL THAT!

My question is, which will have more before next season, "Trade Fitz" or "Trade for Ben"?
