It takes a certain kind of jerk wad to do that sweep the leg business.
The crazy thing is I always though Thomas was a good dude. Guess not so much
That was the chump girly ice skater whacking someone else's knee, ESPN probably won't do a story on it though.
ESPN just showed it again on their halftime show. I think they've given it a decent amount of coverage. They don't seem to be soft pedaling it either.
.
If a clean hit takes a player out it's one thing. That's football. But when a cheap shot does it, the offending player needs to be suspended for th same amount of games as the injured player.
Yep I agree with you 100% I saw a lot of Donkey fans last night saying "that's football"
I disagree, that is NOT football, there is no place in any sport where you get to intentionally INJURE someone. The guy dove at his knee, he was trying to injure him. Even in MMA guys have that code, "I want to hurt my opponent NOT injure him."
I despise dirty players, if one of our players did this I would have the exact same reaction, that is why I have no respect for the Bronco fans who are defending this punk.
Calais was having a great day in his hometown. The opponents couldn't contain him...so they cheated in an evil way. The Broncos have no soul, they can go to hell and I will enjoy rooting against them.
Both Golic and Cris Carter this morning said it was NOT a dirty play and not premeditated. It was a penalty they both agreed, they said Clady screwed it up he was supposed to "fade" and instead tried to engage. They both said Thomas was merely chipping, as proof after he got up off his cowardly butt he went out in the pattern, proving he was chipping not trying to injure CC.
I don't think he tried to injure the knee, I do think it's not a coincidence that the 3rd play from scrimmage after halftime was a play where they cut CC who'd been so terrific in the first half. I think they decided to try another approach to slow him down and in the process, injured him.
the offending player needs to be suspended for th same amount of games as the injured player.
Not a good idea at all, too much potential for funny business. Hypothetically, let's say Veldheer injures a 3rd string guy on the 49ers with a questionable block. Harbaugh could easily end Veldheer's season and improve his team's chances within the division just by continually putting that 3rd stringer on the injury report even if he's healthy enough to play.
I think an offending player should be ejected from the game and potentialy suspended by the league for a set amount of games.
