More Sarver hate. Remember when basketball people used to like and respect the Suns front office?

"They have the right to resent owners such as Phoenix’s Robert Sarver, who’ve brought no value to the league, who’ve done nothing to make franchises better.

you know what's really scary about this quote? It was apparently in reference to Superstar players' thoughts about Sarver. That's great news! The best players in the league hate our Owner. SWEET!

Maybe he'll have a controversy like McCort of the Dodgers and Chinese investors will come courting.

BWAHAHAHAHA, "running," I get it, good one.

But seriously, what you write is dead on target. That's one of the reasons that I don't have much hope for the Suns over the next, oh, 10 or 15 years. Building a team that has a serious chance at the conference finals more often than not -- let's not get dragged down into what qualifies as a "contender" -- is darned difficult. The Suns clearly don't have the talent or ownership to get back there any time soon. Given that probably around half the teams in the league haven't been at that level in ages, what should give us any confidence that the Suns will figure out a way to get back into the ranks of the elite?

Yep...sad times in Suns land. It's one thing to be bad, but to be bad and without hope is miserable. I love the NBA, but with my favorite team in the toilet, it makes the league considerably less enjoyable. I guess I'll have to focus on my personal quest to get over the hump in our fantasy league.

Another quote today from Paul Coro...poor Bobby, so maligned.

"I think Sarver's been the most difficult. He has been really the last couple years in this. I quoted an owner, an ownership source, the other day in a story that he talks so much and says so many outlandish things in these meetings, people tune him out. You know him in Phoenix. He can erode his credibility by just opening his mouth very often. While he is the hardest line of the hard-liners, he is not going to dictate where this goes. He led the charge on wanting the hard cap, on wanting to get rid of the mid-level exception, but at the end of the day, he is not a powerful voice in that room. He's one of the last owners in. He's probably one of the least wealthy owners. And he's probably one of the owners who really have to honest look at whether he should really own an NBA team. Does he have the wealth to really do it and do it right . . . I do think guys like Sarver are willing to lose the whole season."

SELL THE F'N TEAM, YOU SHOULDN'T OWN AN NBA TEAM!!!

wow... Coro said this, huh? jesus it makes me sick to think this guy is not only associated with what was the crown jewel of the state's sports but is it's freaking owner.

still can't believe it took peope so long to realize how much a freaking clown this guy was. from the JJ contract extension, to the stupid Foam Finger-Chicken Dance to letting JJ walk, to not extending BC... all the writing was on the wall from the get go and people just chose to bury their head in the sand.

we're ****ed until he sells the team. plain and simple.

Just to clarify, Wojnarowski said this, not Coro. I can't say I disagree.

AZ is a magnet for horrible ownership. Sarver is hated by practically everyone, and the only positive impact he can make is by selling the team. The fans need to boycott, unfortunately, for him to get the point that no one will support his stupidity.

That part that irks me is not only should Sarver not own an NBA team but he has compounded the issue with his hirings in the front office. Sarver said it himself that he thinks there is a new way of handling a front office by hiring guys who know the business side versus basketball guys. He is a self proclaimed genius and trend setter at running an NBA franchise.

Just ask him!

this is probably true... which is even more unfortunate.

we went from the classiest owner in the league to the *******-ist owner in the league... next to Dan Gilbert probably.

Uh, Donald Sterling tops them all.

Sterling's been around forever and is without a doubt the standard bearer in the league, but Sarver's made one of the most attractive places in all of sports a joke within 6 years. give him time.

Perhaps a light at the end of the tunnel?

Comments from a Jason Whitlock Article, from Steve Nash-

"Nash answered pretty much all of my questions. He was critical of Suns owner Robert Sarver, but the point guard said he was unsure if Sarver was a negotiating hardliner because he wants to sell the Suns."

Please PLEASE make it so.
