Bengals job is super good. Their scouting department is one of the best in the league. So the available jobs so far are:
Browns
Packers
Bucs
Jets
Broncos
Cardinals
Dolphins
Bengals
Every job save Bengals & Bucs is more appealing than our beloved birdies. Argh!
That didn't stop them for either getting the rooney rule out of the way or going after the guys they want. Cards and Keim are not in the news for interviewing anyone. THose two clubs are being PROACTIVE. Cardinals probably has no clue on who they want. The body isn't even cold yet...lol

Does he fly coach or standby? The Cards need to get on this now if they want a hot property HC. I know Mike likes to think he's the smartest man in the room and always does his due diligence but by the time he flys around the country interviewing everyone in person he'll be left wih table scraps again. Be proactive Mike.
lol. Luckily Mikey flys his own jet.Does he fly coach or standby?
They also fired coaches weeks ago...lol they've had a few minutes to sort things out. That didn't stop them for either getting the rooney rule out of the way or going after the guys they want. He's his own pilot...Does he fly coach or standby?

Yeah, they didn't even have a scouting department before Marvin Lewis...they used to rely on other teams evaluations of players.https://www.bengals.com/team/front-office-roster/
Cincy has four scouts, total. They're notoriously under-invested in that area of their franchise and rely heavily on their coaches to turn into scouts as soon as the season ends.
By comparison, the Cards have 16 college and pro scouts as well as assistants and directors:

It includes what seems to be described as a player profile for each available player. It includes college stats, combine stats and a blurb about the player. The list and newest version of technology being added by Tobin and his department is to ensure the efficiency of making moves during the season.
“The idea is you’re not scrambling for a day or two if something happens on a Sunday,” Bengals pro scouting director Steven Radicevic said. “You may have to watch an hour or two of film, but everyone knows quickly the guys we’re looking at.”
Tobin put the original technology in place when he took over as director of player personnel in 2011. The ultimate goal was very easy, to save time for scouts to do what they do best.
I was going off on the talent they amass too. Their drafts are really good no?An article from a fan site? That's what you've got? Let's take a closer look:
Sounds very advanced. LOL.
They are, but I don't think it's because of their scouting department. I think it's because their coaches have a vision of what they want because Marvin Lewis is good.I was going off on the talent they amass too. Their drafts are really good no?
It is not. Underfunded.Bengals job is super good. Their scouting department is one of the best in the league.
Let me fix this for you...So the available jobs so far are:

Here are the people that would request interviews for
Josh McDaniels
Marvin Lewis
Freddie Kitchens
Kliff Kingsbury
Matt Campbell
Lincoln Riley (though I think he declines)
Matt LaFluer
Eric Bienemy (probably spelled that wrong)
I am sure I am missing some people, but that is where I would go and I would move fast if only to esnure my guy had staff available to pick up.
I'd add:
John Fassel, LARM Special Teams Coordinator
Aaron Kromer, LARM Run Game Coordinator
I don't think the Cards need for their next head coach to wash up on a beach.
I think Cardinals are going to go for a re-tread.
They really like McCarthy. But McCarthy doesn't like Cardinals for various reasons.
Jim Caldwell looks like the likely option if Bowles opts to go with BA somewhere.
I personally like Mike Munchak if Cardinals want to hire a re-tread.
