Even on his best days Blaine Gabbert is a 55% passer. Dude is still erratic. Let’s not get swept up in emotion. There was a reason he was #3 and CP was #1.
I guess there is some part of 'With our o-line' that you did not grasp ? What part was that ? Is CP a better passer ? Yes. Is he more experienced and given an extra couple of seconds (which he won't get) a better decision maker ? Yes.
He will also get sacked approx 3 times (probably more) per game than Gabbert.
He will get far more 'pressures' than Gabbert, who will already be out of the way (called 'happy feet' and 'panicking' by the loons that have never seen a QB who can move and get the heck out of the way, at least any Cardinal QB, guess they never watched Plummer).
And lastly, Gabbert will run for 1st downs. We have not seen and have not had, that capability in years in Arizona, even though, in the modern NFL, it is a necessity. Even geriatric BA is seeing the value.
In the 70s and 80s (maybe the 90s), CP would wipe the floor with Gabbert. This is now, and CP needs to go (much as I love the guy and think he is one of the toughest to play the game, you can;t be an immobile QB in AZ without being that), his era is gone.

have you gone to the Trump International School of Fake News ?
against Houston 64.7
against Jags 57.9 (against the # 1 defense in the NFL, which pretty much throttled Fitz)
I think if you look, you'll see most QBs against the Jags had WORSE percentages... but, yeah, let's all stay stoic and ready for the whip to come down... some of us, enjoy hope (hope with a rationale behind it), you know ?
