How many times in recent years have we seen a Cardinals' QB score on a QB sneak?

Until Gabbert is back in Canton for his induction ceremony, he was nowhere close to right!
...dbs
I just meant he was right about him being better than we all had thought. He did go over board on how well he will play.

I really liked the way the ball was coming out of his arm, the way he stood in the pocket and he had a real nice touch on the ball.

He still needs to show it on a regular basis, but this gives him something to build on. I hope.

He has an outside chance to make the team. He had a good half, not perfect, but good. Guy is likeable and has all the tools, if BA can salvage his career in AZ ... what story would that be ... maybe with a ring ...? Movie and HOF for BA instantaniously.

But, for that to happen there is a long way to go ... XD.

Gabbert did show that he has the better tools than Stanton and he is younger, now it comes down to, can he master the Offense that BA wants to run.

I think he is our #3 period with a shot at #2. I really doubt we cut him.

Steve Keim was on the radio this morning and talked about what he liked from Gabbert in the HoF game. Basically Keim said that when Gabbert played for Jax and SF he would tend to look at his first read and if it wasn't there he would take off running. However in Gabbert's first game with the Cardinals, he worked his way through his progressions and stayed in the pocket for the most part. That was the most encouraging thing about Gabbert's performance according to Keim.

The offensive line gave him time.

Yes about 5 seconds more than usual XD ^^

Jax and 49ers had a "helluva" O-line

Jokes appart, still waiting to see more. Nothing done yet, even John Skelton had a good game.

I'm interested to see how Gabbert reacts this week behind the 3rd string O-Line. Trevor Knight was scrambling on almost every passing play last week behind the 3rd string, but that's also part of his style because he's not a good passing QB (53% completions in college in 2016).

Based on the depth chart on the Cards site, the 3rd string OL is:
LT Givens Price
LG Will Holden
C Daniel Munyer
RG Dorian Johnson
RT Jonathan McLaughlin

Gabbert should light up 3rd stringers, but he might need to make quicker reads this week behind that OL. He's also gonna have to rely on 3rd & 4th string WRs to get open & catch the balls he throwing. I'm hoping he'll do well, but I don't care as much about if our offense moves up & down the field & scores... I want to see him make good reads & deliver catchable balls.

I'm also hoping Dorian Johnson & Will Holden overtake 2nd string OL guys by pre-season game #4 (Kaleb Johnson/Bergstrom & Ulrick John).
