Probably not. He might become the 6th best player in the league but as a pure point guard, I don't think he'll ever be top 10.

Steve

Who the f cares, there are no pure PGs in the league other than those that can't score (Rondo and Rubio).

Up until before his injury Bledsoe was a top 6 PG last year, he was on pace to make the allstar game probably. It was not until his injury that Dragic got the spotlight and was considered the allstar.

Not even close.

This is most likely not a degenerative condition. It was a ligament issue that was probably not fixed correctly the first time.
If the Suns medical staff evaluated it and they still wanted to sign him that is good enough for me. I fully expect him to be healthy. At least as healthy as we can expect anyone to be.

Guess we will find out.

Huh? I'm saying he was a pure PF. I don't know how you can argue against that. I'm not talking about his medical condition.

Amare can't rebound and doesn't post up. I'm not sure how that is part of your definition of "pure".

My bad.
If I don't see a quote I tend to assume a post is addressing the OP.

Still I think a PF is primarily a defensive position for rebounding so.
Not even close.:)

When I think PF I think Otis Thorpe or Buck Williams. Not great scorers but monsters on the glass. What makes a "pure" anything I have no idea.

Maybe that is just the bias of seeing those guys when they played before we had the 3 point shooting PF influence.

Man this got side tracked in a hurrry.

That's better. :p Yeah, the pure thing is weird. Would you consider Amare a guard, small forward, or center? I wouldn't (center comes closest), that leaves PF. If pure = perfect, no he wasn't a great rebounder but he was a decent one. (something like 8.9 per game)

I get a "Forbidden" message when I click on it but is that the picture of Al McCoy giving a smiling Bledsoe a big hug? If so, I liked that picture too.

Yes, sir! Great pic!

Actually, you see Bledsoe from behind. It's Al with the big smile on his face.

I remembered a big smile, guess I plastered it on the wrong face. Easy to do though, watching the Media Day it was clear that Eric was one happy puppy.

forever trolling

How is pointing out a players weakness trolling? I think the point that is being made is obvious. The term "pure" in regards to any player seems to be a nebulous one. How can someone who struggles at some of the fundamental of the position be called "Pure"? If that doesn't matter...we are back to what? Stats? Did he pass first? Where that person plays primarily?!?

Are you really surprised? Someone disagrees with him and even without a personal attack, and what does he do? We all see through slinslin. I've been with this site since well before he was ever here, so calling me a troll is hilarious. I wasn't even responding to him!

Crap like what? That Amare can't rebound, post up or play defense? What league do you watch?

You are such a proven ignorant why would I bother arguing with you? This would be the first time you actually back up your nonsense with some actual facts or statistics.

Amare averaged

8.8rpg in 31.3mpg
9.0rpg in 36.8mpg
8.9rpg in 36.1mpg
9.6rpg in 32.8mpg
9.1rpg in 33.9mpg

But yeah he could not rebound, clearly, because you have to average at least 10.0 rpg to say someone can rebound eventhough there are only round about 10 players in the league per season averaging 10 rebounds or more.

I am not even going to adress your ******** remark that Amare Stoudemire could not score in the post, that is just ridiculous.

Saying Amare Stoudemire was not a pure PF is just stupid. Trolling at its finest.
