Amare is such a damned loafer! I am sick of his lacksadaisical approach to every game. He always TALKS about being great, becoming the greatest and doing this or that, but as the old saying goes, money talks, ******** walks.

Marion, for all his hustle and for all the little things he does, is such a damned whiner and I am sick of him on this team.

The Suns always seem to be a day late and a dollar short. We get Amare when we would have been MUCH better off to have gotten Howard the next year. The draft debacle of a couple years ago (Deng, Iguodala, etc....) is really hurting us as is the subsequent selling off of all picks. Now our only 1st rounder in the past few years is in the friggin D-league!!!!

At this point, I see if ORL takes Amare AND Marion for Howard and maybe try to find a way to get a 3 with the ATL pick and Bell (or another player).

Bottom line is that this team frustrates the hell out of me. This organization frustrates the hell out of me. This coach frustrates teh hell out of me.

This is designed to be a trade thread, so let's talk about some major moves here....

Dream scenario:

Amare/ATL#1 for Howard

Marion/Bell for Smith(ATL)/filler

Nash-Barbosa-Hill-Smith-Howard

Diaw-Skinner-filler-Pike-Marks-Banks

In this scenario, Diaw becomes useful again. Bench is short, but Mike wouldn't use it anyways....

On the other board, I floated Marion to the Knicks for Lee/Rose/QRichardson.

Amare/Bell/Atl pick for Joe Johnson, Al Horford, filler.

and/or

Diaw/Banks for half dozen creme filled donuts and hot chocolate.

But my favorite - D'Antoni for Chuck Daley or any other multiple championship coach that doesn't have a current job - possibly Rudy Tom. Someone that can teach defense.

Kwame and Lamar for Amare.

How about Amare/Diaw for Bynum/Lamar/Farmar? Seems to be a win for both teams. Lakers get a real top scoring threat (and star player) down low, a facilitator with versatility and the Suns get size, rebounding and backup PG.

Bynum is 12th in the NBA in double doubles with 10, 5th in blocks and is averaging close to a double double at 11 and 9.7. And he's 20. And has giant potential...a true NBA center.

He's going nowhere. He's practically untouchable.

I questioned them not moving him for Kidd but I was wrong. With Fish/Farmar/Crittendon we aren't as weak at the PG spot as we were with Smush.

There's a 0% chance that Orlando would even consider trading D12. It just isn't happening.

But I agree with the premise of the thread. We're downy soft, and it needs to stop.

Suns trade: Amare
Suns get: Sheed, Maxiell, Johnson

Suns trade: Marion
Suns get: Salmons and Artest

I think we make a trade but trading both Amare and Marion? Idk... Still sounds like crazy talk.

You just need to accept that no "blowing it up" will happen. This team is a raging success in the eyes of Sarver as a business man. They don't even own their own draft picks for two years.

This team is going to be what it is in some fashion.

Wow some pretty crazy threads come out after losses. Losses happen in the NBA its not the end of the world, we need to relax and see how the team plays the upper eschelon teams (games they will get up for) hard to judge them against bad teams as they play down to the comp seems like for the last couple years. If we don't show up well and win at least half of our next four then we can start worrying a little. For now people need to relax and trading marion for anything is one of the dumbest things I have ever seen written even on a message board!

Gimme Josh Smith and Horford for Marion and they can have their draft pick back.

If it was just two losses then I would be fine, but it's the three years of futility that I have me worried. These two losses merely highlighted our flaws as a team, notably lack of defense, toughness, and rebounding. Until we address those issues, this team is just spinning its wheels while Sarver collects his paycheck. And it looks as if the only way to change those flaws is through alot of dealing.

Indeed. We could throw out a lineup of:

PG: Nash
SG: Raja Bell
SF: Ron Artest
PF: Rasheed Wallace
C: Brian Skinner

And run a bench of Leandro Barbosa, Jason Maxiell, John Salmons, Grant Hill, and Boris Diaw. We'd be a legit ten deep and have plenty of size and toughness on the squad. Not to mention have one of the best defensive teams in the league.

And yes fans...we'd probably still lead the league in scoring if Stat & Marion were dealt for the above lineup but also be able to get stops when they need them.
Nash can get my 82 yr old grandmother an easy shot.

Envision it's a playoff series again, with Bowen harassing Nash to madness. Would any of the trade you guys propose give the Suns a better chance at still winning that series?

People know how to deal with Nash now. They put athletic long guys like Ricky Davis, Steph Jackson, or even just Bowen, and Nash is just not creating space like he normally does. In that case, the only reliable option on offense becomes Amare! In particular, if we don't play other sets that make other players comfortable at creating scoring opportunities due to the fact that Nash dominates the ball all time and plays excessive minutes.

So, Howard maybe the only one that'd fill the bill. Deng, Wallace, or whoever you have in mind will be rendered useless in that series.
